The amount of celtic fans commenting on that post saying 'unfollowed' and being genuine about it is pathetic

Well if he choses to back 'losers' that's up to him.

What an odd statement for a Chester supporter to make. Nothing odd at all. The statement could be made of you. You chose to follow Chester, "losers". Football is a pendulum which always swings back. Good years, bad years. Rangers, Chester, whoever. All have good years, all have bad.

All have good years, all have bad. I was referring to the way the club is run. Celtic on the other hand are too cautious and have what my pal calls 'biscuit tin' mentality. In other words they often don't use their money to strengthen.

It never ceases to amaze me that even in this day and age when someone is asked the Celtic/Rangers question, the answer will more often than not depend on what type of church that person's great grandparents went to, back in the days when most people went to church. Maybe I'm only thinking of people of a certain age group really? Are young people influenced by the traditions of clubs still, or will this eventually die out in this modern age of football, when 'fans' support clubs in other countries etc?
I've supported Chester for 50 years and think on balance as a club, we've always had a little bit of a blue'tinge' about us, so it was the best answer for a Chester manager to give even if only playing the percentage game on it being the right one !

There has been talk of a Wrexham/Celtic love-in in the past, so I suppose Chester/Rangers could be the answer to that. I think among young people, preference is more likely to be based on political viewpoints.
If pushed, I marginally prefer Celtic of the two, but I have little time for either. Partick Thistle are the real Glasgow club for me.

...and we beat them 4-1 back in August 1970. Hope I’m not insulting your age, but did you go? Loved the teamsheets in those days, with the 2-3-5 formations. partickthistleahistory.wikifoundry.com/page/1970+-+Chester+1-4

Associating with what you are familiar with always makes sense. As Rangers recently plummeted the depths of their leagues I can see the association.
