So Jeremy Corbyn's brother has been arrested this afternoon for protesting against the lockdown saying its all a lie more looney left crap he's as thick as his brother When you’ve scaled the heights of Junior Assistant Moderator on an unofficial internet message board for a 6th tier non-league football club I suppose everyone must appear thick.

They include climate change denial and anti-vax. Anyway, that's his brother not him, so not really a reflection on Jeremy. My brother is a scientist, and gay. He couldn't be much less like me!

Black Londoners being arrested all over the City when collecting essentials for vulnerable relatives as the white middle classes block roads so they can get a bird bath, meet up with their mates in beer gardens and storm the ice cream vans.

Wirral Council has today joined Liverpool and several others in saying they do not expect to reopen schools on June 1st despite what the government thinks.
It's ridiculous really. Teachers aren't happy that it's safe, and doctors agree with them, so who exactly is guiding the decision? Absolutely laughable for Michael "everyone is tired of experts" Gove to get his gormless face on TV and tell us it's safe.

If a Tory tells you its safe to send your kids back to school, then you know it isn't.
It hasn't escaped my attention that that the idea of sending kids back to school, and therefore parents back to work, is appearing around the same time that the country's wealthiest have lost more than £54bn over the past two months due to the pandemic (maximum individual losses up to £6bn since last year). Oh diddums.
Wealthy current/past politicians, sat in their luxury homes, not going to work, living off their fat salaries/pensions, telling poor people to get back to work, and poor kids to get back to school, under life-threatening conditions, is about as sick as it gets.

I'd have so much more respect (hard to imagine) for these Conservative MPs if they were just honest about schools. If they said, "Look, there is a risk attached and we know it's not ideal - but we NEED to get the economy moving so schools are opening!" then I think their message would be clearer and more palatable.
It's their creepy, fake empathy and care that these children are 'falling behind'. Like they give a shit that working class children are missing 6 weeks of school. I know they don't, you know they don't - it's grating to listen to. If schools are closed till September, Children will have missed about 1.5% of their educational pathway from 4-18. It will not be irreparable.
Them being 'behind' is a myth - behind what? Schools will need to re-look at the curriculum when school returns to some kind of normal, but they won't be behind.

Indeed, the whole raison d'être of the Conservative Party is to ensure working class children fall behind their own kids.

Anyone noticed that in the 5pm briefings, we don't get the international graph anymore. Could this be because we are top of the league or bottom if you tend to an unfashionable view of humanity and care for all.

Same reason the R rate no longer matters. It mattered when it was being reduced now it doesn’t as its increasing due to poor government; just like the comparisons with other countries - they mattered and the government published the graphs until suddenly we’re the second highest death toll in the world and now the comparisons apparently don’t matter.

45,000 deaths could have been prevented if these Tory bastards had locked down just a week earlier.
45,000 nans, grandads, mums, dads, sisters, brothers, sons and daughters.
What will it take to get people angry?

Why are Serco delivering test and trace?
GP practices have infrastructure linking them to hospitals, district nurses, care homes and social services, they also have premises everywhere and decades of experience providing screening and vaccinations for a wide range of diseases and viruses.
This is disaster capitalism in action. The government's priority is not stopping the spread of a deadly virus, it's to funnel as much public money into private companies as possible. Whether it's building unused hospitals or bringing in Serco.

Strange isn't it the total number of deaths is around the 40,000 mark (far too many I know) yet the propoganda merchants make up numbers to suit their needs, typical of tyrants they try to browbeat you into their way of thinking. When no sensible argument exists so called facts are fabricated to suit

Disgraceful but not surprising in the slightest from these shysters.

Never clapped yet. Can't see who is going to hear me where I live. Mate I have never clapped either. Nurses can’t feed their kids on applause. I do my bit to help them by opposing everything these vermin in government do and say. So what your saying then is you oppose the lockdown and everyone should carry on as normal surely that's a policy of Herd Immunity which I thought you opposed

I think guilt is behind the defence at this point. I think most of them were okay with over a hundred thousand dying as a result of austerity but seeing our country up there with Trump, Putin and Bolsonaro as the worst-prepared must be pretty galling even for the most die-hard of jingoistic bootlickers.
