Well that lasted all of about 10 posts and here we are again political point scoring.
Back on topic after Christmas found I'd put on about 1st 4lbs advised by doc to lose weight as borderline diabetic and high cholesterol. So all of Jan and Feb managed to lose 1st 6 lb. Then comes lock down and eating out of boredom. back come the lbs. I need an indoor hobby.

It’s alright, the current government are basically lifting policies out of the 2017 and 2019 Labour manifesto anyway. It’s a shame it took such a crisis for that to happen but never mind. Wow, such perception to have Coronavirus policies laid out in 2017. Mind you proves my point, Corbynistas know the answer to everything - just a pity they give us their wonderful views while we discuss any subject at all. If Corbyn was elected there would have been no such thing as the coronavirus. |

From what started out as a good thread it has drifted once again to slagging off the government by Labour voters. I would much rather see reasoned remedies but seeing as nobody comes up with any it may be a good idea if we all read the first post and then got back on track Agreed. It’s very tiresome seeing the same cabal of posters (one of whom isn’t even a Chester fan so Lord only knows what he is doing skulking around this off-topic forum) jumping on everything one particular poster says and sidetracking whole threads with petty arguments. How is everyone enjoying sort-of-official-ish-lockdown today? I’m juggling working from home and home schooling my kids again. Think this will be a medium-term thing by the looks of it. Just curious and not having a pop (for once), who’s the non-Chester fan? |

I see Michael Gove’s excuse that the difficulty in increasing number of Covid19 tests was due to a shortage of the relevant "chemcial reagents" has unraveled pretty quick and once again a Tory Minister has been caught lying to us. Representatives from the U.K. Chemical Industry have said that they haven’t even been approached by the Government to ascertain if there is indeed a shortage (there isn’t) or been asked to increase production.
Absolute shambles from a bunch of sociopathic charlatans and when all this is over I really hope there is a reckoning with serious jail time for some of these clowns.

Did anybody see the astonishment on the BBC newsreader’s face yesterday as it slowly dawned on her that the breaking news she was announcing was the first order of ventilators is for 30 units, not the 30,000 the government had been telling us. Reckon she is getting sacked today - she’s terrible at propaganda.

But call a chosen one a “nasty piece of work” and yet another post is removed. But I get the “light moderation” that this board is supposed to prefer doesn’t exist in every case. The only one of those quotes that was aimed at another fellow Deva Chatter was yours. Probably explains it. Can I ask your opinion on a post by IHB earlier this morning. He uses the phrase “death cult members on here”. The words “on here” make it aimed at fellow Deva Chatters. Surely in view of your ruling, this post should be deleted. It’s certainly a horrible and more vicious attack on fellow DCers than say “nasty piece of work”. |

I probably wouldn't have removed either, but I would ask people again to tone down their language and be a little more tolerant of different points of view, on both sides. I do think politics is relevant to the COVID-19 discussion.
