I have posted a couple of times about the need for the directors of the club to publish details of our forward financial plan to get through the current financial crisis.
Thus far, all we've seen are some general comments, but little in terms of concrete details. Other clubs are cutting their wage bills, releasing players and so on. But we seem to sail on, without any real information being provided.
So - can the directors PLEASE publish these details. I have nothing but admiration for our volunteers and directors, but now is the time to become completely transparent in terms of what we propose to do. Otherwise I fear we'll suddenly be told we have a week to raise thousands of Pounds, fail to do so, and go under. With proper planning and the support of the fanbase we can avoid that, but time is running out.

I also think we need to know the true financial position the club is in. The board of directors need to give us facts, we need to know how bad the situation is and what steps they are going to take. This is a question of survival for our club, don't leave it until it's to late.

Hopefully we'll get another update, but just in case anyone missed DHW's Chron interview last week (I think a lot have done) - LINKThanks for providing the link Anders. Good interview and fairly comforting, though the longer this crisis goes on the more the club will become reliant in fundraising activities (as well as a little help from Uncle Stu).

Perhaps people should not be reading DHW interview of 17th but club statement issues 3 days later ON 20th in which it said
"What however is apparent even at this preliminary stage is that the current financial situation faced by the Club is every bit as serious as the financial challenge faced by the Club in 2018."
I think this is the statement people should be reading, it is on the official website

The club do not like giving financial information out until it's to late, Have been asking for a long time about how much we are raising via the fundraising and how we should set targets each month and it should be shown on social media to keep things in peoples mind, nothing has been shown and interest in these have dwindled away, Now people will not have the money to help keep the club going, As club owners we have a right to be updated with financial updates and it should not be kept in house, All we get is excuses from the fundraising committee that an update will be available shortly SORRY but this is not good enough, We now get raffle tickets to sell when everyone is in lockdown, It's hard to keep the faith when we don't get told anything

Perhaps the board do not have enough detail from the National League, and FA and government agencies yet to give a definitive statement. The situation re contracts is still to be resolved. Let’s have a little patience, this board has a great track record of dealing with serious issues. In the meantime we as supporters can keep the financial support trickling in until the picture is clear.

How can you say the board has a great track record when dealing with serious issues, The fans bailed them out a few years ago and if it wasn't for uncle Stu would probably have to bail them out again,

Morning all..
Just here to reassure supporters that we are definitely not sleepwalking into oblivion, and various online meetings have been taking place too, wherever possible, and given situations where some are still in work, home schooling, looking after family, it's backbreaking stuff, but we're definitely all over this.
I do ask on behalf of the board for your patience. This is a much different crisis to what's happened in the past of course which is not only a threat to us, but to many, many football clubs in general, especially at our level.
We have provided information to the National League who in turn are liaising with the FA over helping clubs in this precarious situation.
I'm sure everyone is aware that we cannot discuss sensitive information such as wages, and if any formal statement on that was to be made, then it would be made via the official channels of course.
It's really difficult to put a figure on what we're going to need to get through this, but if you looked at the basics as in no revenue from remaining home games, the season likely to be stopped, then you'll appreciate that given We're a club who rely on income at this time of the year to see us through, We need ALL the support we can get.
A club like ours would need around £100k to get up through the summer with a loss of 5 home games, so you can pretty much see what We need to raise from that. And so, the sooner the financial package for clubs at our level know what's coming the better we can plan, but right now it's difficult to plan beyond the end of May, especially as we have no idea (as yet) as to when the new season would start.
You'll have noted that we did the E-Matchday last weekend which brought £2k in, which was a great start.
This weekend we'll be asking existing CFU members to renew their membership which expires at the end of May. Even if renewing now it will still carry you through to May 2021. Please don't renew on the back of this post though as event details will be released later today for this, with a couple of options on there but also details on how you can help further, if possible.
I appreciate that everyone wants to know information, and we have a full board meeting on Monday night too, where we will hope to follow that up with further info too.
But the overall message is to allow us the chance to get the accurate information together, and that the board are putting in all efforts to ensure that our club is kept on track, whilst planning through this very uncertain time.
Stay safe, and please keep your eyes on the official website and the CFU website for all info relating to this weekend and beyond.
Thanks Jeff

I have been watching the forum for years, and occassionaly posted under Roy of the Romans but that log seemed to lapse so had to register under Spartacus. I go back to the sixies in watching Chester my firtsb game being away at Aldershot as I lived in Basingstoke at that time. We drew 2-2 with Les Jones scoring from a header ( he was pretty short amd played because Hugh Ryden was injured ) and a Dave Durie volley. Ask me who scored tree weesk ago I wouldnt rememebr 11. I live in Worcester but have been a member of tne supporters trust since its inception.
