The Staircase is a bit of a slow burner but really good viewing once you get in to it. A friend thought there were too many episodes but given how things are at the moment I regard that as a good thing!!

The Invisible Guest is a really great Spanish film on Netflix.
Sense8 is also a very good series, though needs sticking with as its all a bit weird at first, but worth it for the pay-off.
Also blitzed through the Stranger in a few days which I was pleasantly surprised by given I wasn't a huge fan of any of the casts previous work.

You, on Netflix, is good. The Nest, on iplayer. For anyone who hasn't seen it, all 8 series of Mad Men are utterly brilliant. If this goes on much longer we will watch again all from the start (Netflix) Race Across the World, BBC 2 is wonderful escapism.

If you missed it first time around Brassic on Sky is really funny.
Just getting through the Outsider on catch up, 2 episodes in from 10 so far. Usually Stephen King adaptations are no-where near as good as the books, with a few exceptions, Shawshank, Green Mile, The Shining etc, but so far this is pretty good.

Normal People on iPlayer. Very rarely do I find myself invested in a romantic drama, but this got me right in the feels. Really makes you think about your own life/relationships in school/college/uni.

Thought I'd ask this on here rather than start a new thread. What are people's thoughts on Netflix pulling several shows that have depictions of blackface in them, including Little Britain and League of Gentleman?
Not sure it's the right approach myself. It seems a bit clumsy. For example, I understand they've pulled The Mighty Boosh in its entirity, but I'm pretty sure the Spirit of Jazz character only appears in one or two episodes. I never really thought of that as blackface either, but more as a demonic character who happened to be painted black in the same way as some of the other characters were painted green, red and other colour. It's like they've denounced an entire show as racist because of one minor character.
I don't really see how this broadens race relations or helps anybody understand the issue. Media should still be available even if times have moved on, and it's better to educate than restrict. I would prefer to have seen Netflix provide information boxes for certain programs explaining the time and context and that they contain scenes that now might seem inappropriate. People can then make their own decision on whether they want to watch them, and learn as they do so. Saying that, I thought Little Britain used to push their luck with what they got away with even at the time!
