Has there been any news on how the fundraising target of 100k is going? Do we have a deadline that we need these funds raising by?
How critical is it for us to get this money raised? Are we talking about the winding up of the club again if we cannot find the money?

There has been little information about current situation for some weeks. An update to the fans would really be appreciated. Looking at the recent messaging on Deva Chat things have slowed re messages, hope it’s not a sign of people forgetting about the club, worrying times ahead I fear

Looking at the recent messaging on Deva Chat things have slowed re messages, hope it’s not a sign of people forgetting about the club, worrying times ahead I fear I get where you are coming from, I really do as the club means a lot to me, but people are worrying first and foremost about their own future and families and that is going to resonate with society right now than keeping football clubs going. I really fear for the club and football in general, i think it may well mean a complete reset for a lot of clubs.

Its a tough situation to work out especially as its over the summer and when we naturally would be signing on new players, agreeing new contracts etc...
As we currently don't when the season will begin its hard to plan for it. As we have the managers and a few players signed up for next season along side the day to day staff from the club. How long will the government roll on the Furlough scheme ? Would it get to a point where we pay after a certain amount of months ? Who knows.
in terms of fundraising for the club, it could be a good idea if we start now in the planning so that we wouldn't get to a point later on in the year and just out of the blue we need £ x Amount of funds with a month or two.
My idea would be to propose a direct debit scheme of how much people wanted to donate £5,10,15 etc and spread the cost out until later in the year. Should try and aim for 500 - 1000 fans and would bring a good amount by the end of it.
Thoughts ?

I presume our plan is:
- that we've agreed with the council not to pay any rent on the ground for the time being - that we have applied not to pay any business rates, if they are applicable, and if we are eligible for the govt scheme - have everyone furloughed, without topping up the 20% - keep everyone furloughed until the end of the govt scheme - then make everyone redundant, at minimum cost, including those contracted beyond the end of this season - ask the managers to nominally stay on, albeit unpaid, so that when play is eventually rescheduled they can build a new squad
We have to assume there will be no meaningful income, including gate income, for some time, and so we have to put the club into deep freeze, with absolutely minimal outgoings. That remaining level of required funding could be the fundraising target per month for however many months that it's required, and we could see monthly whether we were on track or not.
I'm hopeful that much of this has been done already, but the lack of detailed information on this subject is very depressing, and makes me pessimistic for the future. This is an existential crisis, and survival is all we should be planning for.

Hopefully we will soon get a club statement as to the clubs financial position and some outline of what the plan is to survive until non league football becomes viable again.

Good points being raised here and I'm sure the club are progressing with the majority of them.
On the other hand, I'm also pretty sure SM stated that his investment was to ensure the club never goes into debt ever again, and in the perfect world the infrastructure would be improved to generate funds.
However, it isn't the reality and I'm afraid whatever is left of the investment should SM want to follow through on his 3 year committment must now be used to make sure the club does not fall into debt.

I'm also thinking that when the leagues restart, it would be a situation akin to when we had to restart back in 2010.
Let's try to get that feel good factor back, with the thousands who wanted to help the club back then, and make a real push which is sustainable and with the club's best interests at heart, if we don't as a fan owned club then we will most likely get left behind by the bankrolled clubs again.

I don’t think too many clubs will be streets ahead. The clubs being bankrolled are usually because the owner has a lot of spare funds from a prosperous business. Covid-19 will seriously affect the level of funds available as their prime source of the said funds, the business will need propping up and staying afloat. I think the gap will narrow at our level.
