Frustrating really. With a bit more luck against them and a better start, it could have been us, I think.

Only a matter of time before an EFL club comes in for Phil Parkinson. He's done a hell of a job there.

I am a emotional wreck at the moment however just want to wish you all the best for next season will be keeping a keen eye on your results hopefully you will go up as Champions from suffering a double relegation to winning the NPL then suffering last years heartache what Phil and Neil have done is nothing short of a miracle.

Mahon (Chester legend) and Mooney (the match winner) back in the Conference.
A lot of pressure on their replacement to justify the price tag next season after a poor start. We traded Mahon AND cash for him.

Like many Alty fans I suspect, I'll be rooting for you in the Northern league next year. Please give JJ time - he is a class player and no matter what any Alty fan says, we were gutted when he joined you guys. Good luck guys.

Can't even imagine the sort of stick someone like Shenton or Griffiths would have got from us if they did what the Boston keeper did there to gift it to Alty, jeez! Must have hit a bobble or something. It looked like he just fumbled an almost stationary ball.

I don't feel so bad about our game now and think Alty did the right thing and took the bull by the horns and made an early decision and got back in training. I wish them all the best next season and hope our board don't take as long as they did over the play offs and give the gaffers a budget to work with sooner rather that later.

Agree, sort of feel better that we got knocked out by the eventual winners. Would’ve been worse if they went to York and lost 4-0 or something.

Glad in a way that they’ve gone up, as can’t see Boston doing as well next season, and was sick of getting beat by Alty 😂

Yes I was concerned when I saw that Alty had been back training a few weeks before us - based on their first half performance that looked to have paid dividends

I feel we still romanticise about the 2014 Oakwell Craig Mahon as well, rather than the player he's largely been for the last five years. He served the club brilliantly but I think the time was right for him to move on - probably overdue, in fact.
