Done my £50. I reckon the target will be reached by the weekend the way it’s going.

Important we back this - totally understand it's a stretch in an uncertain financial time, but we've all been bowled over by the players' fantastic gesture so it'd be great to see us go over and above the 15K.

Done my bit to help our cause by donating £10 for my virtual matchday admission and an extra £25 for my cardboard cut-out too. Only fitting that we give back to thank our players and management team for their incredible gestures, and judging by the amazing response (over £3,600 raised in 3 hours) we are doing just that. I’ve never felt more proud to be a blue as the work our board, staff, management team, players, and volunteers behind-the-scenes are currently doing is impeccable. Feels like 2010 again with the buzz around the scene. Good luck lads and whatever happens on the pitch, you have done us all proud and lifted the spirits of all at Chester. UTS 🔵⚪️!

What a piss poor start only £5,942 lol jokes aside you guys are amazing and I am proud to be a Chester fan, yes we have different points of view on here but when it comes down to it we all want what is best for the club and dig deep. Not even a day since its launch and we have smashed a third of the total and over 93 grand pledged on the boost the budget, I am so proud of you all and in difficult times this club has the best fans ever

I've asked for the full £25 to go towards the fund, and not have the cut-out. The cut-out costs approximately £10. I'd rather the club have all the donation.

£650 to go til we’ve hit the target, with 20 days still to go, pretty amazing really when you add it to the £103k boost the budget total.

I dip in to the funding and act quickly on Impulse and am sure I am not alone! I gave £30 to one of the funds. What's situation re streaming the match? Revenue for that potentially massive

Clubs on the up! Great effort from the board and everyone who paid in. I’m surprised how low the number of donators actually is. We need to find a way of getting the other 600 hardcore donating. I think it’s probably the older generation that don’t use the internet, difficult to find a solution. As a club we must have had one of the most positive experiences during Covid!? Clubs completely turned around.

Clubs completely turned around. I have wondered whether the presence is a significant single benefactor (Murphy recently, although how much that amounted to in actual payments is another question) puts other fans off from financially supporting the club if they feel it isn't needed. Certainly I doubt we would have seen the amazing amounts in the recent fundraising appeals if Murphy was still around- and so ironically the club may well be in a financially better position as a result of his flounce. I also think that it has helped the Board find its confidence and voice again (and reconnect to the fan base) as they have played some real blinders recently.

I also think that it has helped the Board find its confidence and voice again (and reconnect to the fan base) as they have played some real blinders recently. Would have to agree with that. I'm sure this board have always had the best intentions but the outside influence of Murphy perhaps caused a divide (Swetenhams, etc), and perhaps it was all just easier to get Uncle Stu to sign off on the cheques (not that he has yet!) rather than galvanise the fans to get involved. Ever since the takeover bid, the board have been nothing short of brilliant and have really got into their stride with it. I'm sure that the Covid situation also opened it's eyes to the fact the club needed support too, but it really feels like everyone is pulling in the same direction at the moment and there's a strangely great atmosphere about being a Chester fan given that we haven't kicked a ball in months!

Magnificent effort on both fronts - but I am still concerned about where we'll be in a year's time.
Best case scenario - the £15k+ gets us promoted this season. Then, the £100k+ keeps us competitive in the National League next season. What then? Do we then have to go back to our fans to raise another £100k that season... then the next?
I said it earlier that any fundraisers like this should come with a caveat that 20% of money raised goes to improving the infrastructure at the club. Based on the current fundraisers, we'd have over £20k to go towards improving the bar, hospitality areas, fan experience etc - anything to a) attract new fans, or b) attract new commercial ventures.
As brilliant as it is that we, as a fan-owned club, can ask our fans to dip their hands into their pockets, we can't be relying solely on that every time the club is in trouble. It's just not sustainable.
Sorry to put a dampener on things. These two fundraisers have been superb and show what a special club we are.

Maybe it's because we haven't kicked a ball in months😂. Not sure we'd have raised 100k if we'd launched a campaign after BPA

Isn't the idea of fundraising a year on year thing via our Direct Debits, just like Squdbuilder and the CFU Direct Debit.
