Crawford is a good player, he'll have better options than us but we're definitely right to put ourselves in the frame. He might fancy being back home, especially with all the uncertainty at present. Worth a go! He would probably get noticed more playing for us, and then get a better move on the back of that. He'd also be at home with his mates and family. Chesterfield still have financial problems. Something has gone wrong at AFC Fylde. If he went to Hartlepool he would spend more time on the coach travelling to away games, than playing or training!

Can't see any reason why he would choose us over a full time deal, much as I would love to see him back. Of those three, Hartlepool would be the pick.

Would be a great signing, just what we need tbh. I'd look to add one more big strong CM & with Roberts & Glendon I'd be really happy there. It's probably a bit of a reach though, seems to have played ok while he was there.

Gloucester at it again, now signed Alex Whittle from Boston. Am i right in thinking they could well be moved into the south divison with only 1 southern club from conference coming down

Gloucester at it again, now signed Alex Whittle from Boston. Gloucester and Spennymoor must have each robbed a bank judging by the money they are sending!

Think there's a few teams that see this season as a relatively cheap season to buy promotion given the financial woes of so many other clubs...brave/foolish move depending on how successful they end up being

That will throw these chancers!

Interesting that on the podcast he does Jordan Hulme reckons Asante gone to Gloucester for "four figures a week".

Interesting that on the podcast he does Jordan Hulme reckons Asante gone to Gloucester for "four figures a week". Yeah, he has. Gloucester are throwing quite frankly stupid money about. That’s before bonuses too. Akwasi must still be working out how he’s managed to get such a good offer in the current climate.

He wont stay fit though as he refuses to play through ANY pain. As for throwing money about, we've just seen how this ends down at Dover.

Telford have signed James Hardy from Walsall, bloody good signing that. and Mulhern to Spennymoor. Gloucester, Telford and Spennymoor really do seem to be throwing caution to the wind with some of their signings. The league table could look very different at the end of next season than it ended this time around.

I wonder if they will be affected if the NLS adopt an EFL style of salary cap

Where are Telford getting their money from?
If they had a competent keeper they would look good for a top three finish.

Taylor is class, I agree but don’t understand the stick Hunt used to get. He was always a solid dependable 6/7 out of 10 and you need those in your team. I liked him as well. Released by us only to move up to the FL, replaced by probably the worst Chester left back I've ever seen in Lathaniel Rowe-Turner. Another great bit of business from you know who! That guy still gives me nightmares

I would have Tom Crawford back in a heartbeat. With the right coaching he could have a good career, in the FL.

Mahon released by Altrincham. Bring him home?

Mahon released by Altrincham. Bring him home? He is clearly a popular character with his best behind him. He has several assets including playing and coaching, and could develop into a valuable member off the field whilst being valuable from the bench too. Not a risk either as the managers know his strengths and weaknesses. It’s a yes from me!

Mahon released by Altrincham. Bring him home? If we're short on coaches with Callum leaving for Runcorn, then *maybe* as a player/coach on a deal that benefits us. As just a player, a big no for me. Now more than ever, we need players that we can improve and look to claim a fee for. Mahon turned 31 in June, we saw him at his peak but unfortunately those times are behind him, sorry.

He was involved in more goals the previous season (direct assists and goals himself) than any other player. With Mahon and Waters potentially available to return Bern and Jonno might have a look of Jake and Elroy about them, getting the old band back together - we are called the Blues after all.
