The EFL would be unlikely to let Charlton start the season IMO after Bury. Same old thing, the fans suffer again because of irresponsible owners.

The EFL would be unlikely to let Charlton start the season IMO after Bury. Same old thing, the fans suffer again because of irresponsible owners. A number of similarities with Bury FC. Lawyer Chris Farnell acted on behalf of the consortium who purchased Charlton for £1. He also acted for Bury FC at the time they were expelled from the EFL. Charlton owe previous owner Roland Duchatalet a staggering £67 million according to their 2018/19 accounts. footballeconomyv2.blogspot.com/2020/03/charlton-owes-big-debt-to-owner.htmlBury FC owed a mere £10 million before Stewart Day sold them for a £1 to Steve Dale. Stewart Day owed £27 million to creditors when his business went under. Bury FC have applied to join the National League next season. www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/53555576
