A bit of time to go on the Crowdfunder which is when the cash will get released so happy to go with Kev Roberts if he is available when it ends. I'm sure our commercial director would be happy to reserve the home shirt for Kev knowing you've already got the cash there ready to go. Last thing you want is to sit on that crowd funder cash for too long and miss out on the shirt at the last minute!

Yes a good plan. Reserve Kev now and then decide on the next step

I will reserve Kevin Roberts home shirt until the final decision is made. Knowing DC the fundraising will be a walk in the park compared with agreeing which players to sponsor 😁

They started the thread and set up the fund. Hopefully easier for only 2 having to agree!!

Ultimately it doesn't really matter...all goes into the pot. Still a while to go..push on for three.

I still feel that as DCers and fans of the club we should consider sponsoring some much needed equipment for our fantastic groundsman - if this idea was selected, DC would still be able to have photos, media coverage etc.

Top effort this. Glad that we have got Kev reserved and then we can decide the away shirt when the funder is over. May well ever stretch to a third player at this rate but if not there will still be a few quid to donate to something else such as the pitch or squad builder etc.

I confess I don’t know what the going rate is so this might already be a none starter

Hi all, just to give you an idea of match day sponsorship packages and costs.
Last season Match sponsorship was £850 plus vat this was for 8 people for a 3 course meal. Plus tour etc
Ball & Programme £325 plus vat each for 4 people each plus tour etc.
This season the hospitality will be reduced to about 40 guests to be confirmed instead of 84 This means we will need to reduce the numbers in each package and the prices will reflect this.
I won't be able to do a tour due to restrictions pitch side and changing room areas and it goes on. I will be releasing all the information regarding hospitality when all the covid 19 restrictions have been understood and implemented.
I will keep you updated on these and other issues we have to deal with, as and when I'm able to.

I have been in touch with Baz (groundsmen) today who confirmed that he would be hugely grateful of some funding for the pitch. Times are tough and whatever we can raise to support the work he does would be massively appreciated. We are committed to sponsoring two players but have assured Baz that anything on top of that will be donated towards his work on the pitch so if anyone can still spare a few quid I know he would appreciate it a lot 👍

Just put in £20 so that goes towards Baz, maybe in future we could have sponsor slot available every season just like the players/coaching staff ? All the money goes towards the pitch and equipment.

6 days to go and we've hit the £500 mark which is brilliant. Hopefully we can scrape together a few more quid in the final few days so that Bazza gets the pitch looking like Wembley.

Would "Deva Chat" receive the player's signed shirt at the end of the season?
I'd have no qualms with Si getting that given he went to the trouble of setting the crowdfunder up, but if he doesn't want it, presumably it could go straight on eBay to raise more funds for the club?

Hi all, I'm staggered by the amazing fund raising by our fabulous supporters. I will make sure the 2 signed shirts go to who ever you want them to. I will also make sure all the extra money above the £360 for the shirt sponsorship goes to our groundsman Mike Barrow. I work closely with Mike and I know he's needs money to do some work on the pitch. If this is ok by you all then I will make sure this gets done. Many thanks again for your fantastic support.

I quite like DHW's suggestion of donating one to the club to frame, and then perhaps auction off the other shirt? So many people have donated it would be wrong for me to get the shirts.

Up to £520 now , three days left COYB 3 days left to throw a few extra quid in the pot for Baz to work his magic on the pitch, which would be hugely appreciated given the resources he has at his disposal at a time where there isn't a lot of money at the club. Amazing effort so far, but if anyone else can spare a couple of quid (doesnt have to be your tenners and twenties!) then its a nice way of getting involved in something positive without too much strain on your wallet.

Final plug for this as today is the last day. Can we throw a few extra quid at it before the cut off?
The club have actually contacted me about this fundraiser so I need to run this by the contributors......originally the Crowdfunder was for one player, with a stretch target of two players. Clearly we've elapsed the stretch target comfortably which is brilliant and far surpassed my expectations. The club have asked whether we'd consider sponsoring the one player and allocating the rest to Baz. My understanding is that Baz needs around £600 to carry out some important work to the pitch and I anticipate us being around the £600 mark by the end of today, so taking out the £180 for Kev Roberts home shirt sponsorship still gives a sizable donation to Baz for the pitch. I'm in favour of it, as at the end of the day it's money to the club either way, but just a slight change of what's being done with it. I didn't want to agree to it and make people feel mislead in any way, so if anyone does have any feelings on this then let me know by the end of the day.
So to clarify, the proposal is £180 for Kev Roberts home shirt sponsorship. Anything on top of that to go to Baz for important work on the pitch.....
