I hit a nerve with one of the bullies then.
Get Youngie back was a joke. Moltisoni (another one) warranted the idiot tag for his ridiculous accusation. Yes, I do feel it a poor effort that only 30 people out of a fan base of 1500 contributed to a Pound a Goal.
I’m more than happy for you to block me but am at a loss as to why you accuse me of being disgustingly vile to people as nothing is further from the truth but I will defend myself when bullies attack me for having an opinion.

Fantastic to see the thread about arguing and pettiness has already turned into a thread full of arguing and pettiness. Honestly, some of you need to give your heads a good wobble.

I give up. This thread is no doubt going to be locked because of more petty squabbling.
FFS if you don’t like each other just block each other. It’s like listening to someone arguing on a mobile phone when you’re sat in a pub, no one wants to hear it.

talking of deva chat in general has it ever been thought of to provide a link from the offical website to D.C. Where i live now poole town do it and i think its a good idea to link. i know poole has a smaller fan base[hence less posters]but the few times i look on their forum there never seems to be the fall outs that happen on D.C.

Bound to be more fallouts with a fanbase a lot bigger. Plus they’ve probably not got fans who want their own team to lose so they can moan.

I think some respect for differing opinions would go a long way to improving the debate. Believe it or not we all share a common goal...we just have contrasting views on how to achieve it. It's obvious that a few posters have become scapegoats and their detractors can't wait to jump down their throat and start the personal stuff. I also feel there's a bullying culture against anyone perceived as being negative. When you have a season ticket holder being described as a troll just because he thinks the managers aren't doing a good job, then a line is crossed. This is exactly how I feel. I don't know why it's so hard for grown ups on an internet message board to respect each others opinions whether they agree or not. It's really tiresome watching threads constantly go down the same path. I can't go banning everyone I disagree with and I've never wanted to censor opinion and that counts for people I think chat bollocks too because it's still their opinion. Oaks idea about some forum rules is a good one, and hopefully we'll put something up today so that when threads get locked or people get temporary bans then we can at least point to those rules being broken as the reason. Some things definitely need to change around here based on my observations of the last couple of months, in no particular order..... - Tedious grammar corrections - this isn't A level English and only serves to belittle people
- Following posters around different threads and hounding them. If you have an issue with someone then either use the block or PM then to discuss further rather than constantly derailing threads - everyone is bored of reading it, whether it's the 'you want your club to fail' lads or the politics brigade.
- Trolling - posters dropping a bomb knowing full well it's going to cause a reaction
- Those that seemingly do only post following defeat, have a think about why you do that? Consider some balance and perhaps contribute following some wins, because we are supposed to be supporters aren't we?
- The key thing - respect others opinions. If someone doesn't like the managers then fine, as long as they've posted sensibly about it rather than childish Bill & Ben and the Gallaghers shite then I'm fine with that, let people have their opinion
- No more abuse and name calling, it's frankly childish and not needed. Nobody says we all have to get on because even though we all support Chester we all have different personalities and outlooks on life, but nobody should be called a tit or scum etc for something they've posted on an internet messageboard

Erm, well if you click on a posters name you can see all the posts they’ve ever constructed, hence why I know you only ever post after a defeat. To be fair to you, yesterday you admitted you’re not a fan of our managers so at least we’re starting to understand why you only post after a loss

I don't have anyone blocked on here but for those who do could someone check a quoted post by the person they blocked and check if it still displays? I've added some code to hopefully stop that. Should hopefully stop the temptation to still reply to people you've blocked.

May kick in for new posts though?

The Board is doing a brilliant job in the toughest of circumstances as are the players. And this right here is why I know you only post after defeats, as it gives credence to your agenda against the managers. A win is because the players have been good. A defeat is because the managers are poor. Balance is the key Billy, that way your posts are taken with a bit of credibility.

Perhaps we need a disagree button to compliment the like button and remove the name of the liker. Just a thumbs up or thumbs down tally, may hopefully reduce the spats. Think the like button should only be used as a positive endorsement rather than as an “I don’t disagree” button which often seems to be the use by a few.

This is a really good idea, but I suppose any type of rating system could be subject to users abusing it for wind up purposes

So now the quote says 'This post is hidden', and then you can click to Display Quote if you choose to. If you are choosing to display the quote for people you've blocked then I can't help you!

A quick Google seems to suggest there are Plugins that can give options for reactions. When I've got a bit more time I'll look into it more - hopefully then you and Oaks can simply dislike each others posts without having to actually reply

The only other rules I'd consider which I suppose runs along side deliberately dropping bombs and watching threads collapse. Is the tend of dressing everything up as "its just my opinion" why am I being victimised.
Some post use this when simply being corrected and it drives me mad.
Saying "I'm not sure our centre forwards offer enough to get us the goals we will need" is vastly different from saying "our Centre forwards are useless and never score"
What happens here is people point out all the times our CF's have scored and the original poster starts up saying I'm only expressing an opinion "Happy Clappers and you can't critise without people jumping on it"
Call it the Craig Mahon has no end product rule.

It might save me some time 🤣
