All Labour have to do at the moment to win support is sit back and draw attention to what a complete arse the Tories are making of absolutely everything. Instead, they've unnecessarily made a right public circus of this that will impress neither the lefties nor the centrists they need on their side.

Right thing to happen. The man’s either even dafter than I thought or worse. An absolute stain on the Jewish community and the Labour Party. A good day for those that want to see the end of Tory rule. Would u like picking up in the morning pal? Hahahahaha Hahahaha. Specialist in failure.

Like I said, I think all Labour need to do is avoid a crisis of their own and they're in when the next election comes round, but they seem determined to create their own soap opera.
Speaking of which, we should probably have a thread about Priti Patel, shouldn't we? Pretty damming report coming out about her. Not that it's a surprise as she proves every time she opens her mouth or tweets something that she's a very unpleasant person.

On the day that the Conservatives are talking about a Green Industrial Revolution (ever heard those words come out of Sir Keith's mouth), we have the leader of the Labour Party cosplaying as a poundshop Neil Kinnock intent on a factional civil war.
The weirdest thing about this is that, speaking personally and from experience in my own CLP, the Left were largely willing to offer his leadership critical support given the mandate he had from the membership and his commitment to a lot of the last manifesto. Instead, he's now going to spend the next four years realising just how powerful the Left now is inside Labour.

Perhaps if there's one kind thing I can say about Starmer, it's that at least when a report highlights a problem in the party, he does something about it, even if I disagree with his actions.
The PM, on the other hand, is completely ignoring a report about the Home Secretary's conduct, leading the head of the inquiry to resign. They're total thugs who do what they want.

Corbyn’s son on twitter there, reciting his dads appearance at Glastonbury and when “one of the Glastonbury staff tapped me on the shoulder and said "you know he just got a bigger crowd than Rihanna"”
...except Rihanna has never performed at Glastonbury. Oops
