and the Goats drop out of the play-off places thanks to a last minute goal from Torquay that's cheered me up a bit anyway

I see Rhys Oates played 54 minutes in goal for Hartlepool on Monday, and managed to keep a clean sheet in that time!

There is more chance of me making love to Michelle Keegan and her wearing my Chester shirt than we have got of signing Pearson would rather younger players and the way he gobbed to us at our place when he scored no not for me

Who’d have thunk it last summer when he was delivering pizzas after being furloughed!

Who’d have thunk it last summer when he was delivering pizzas after being furloughed! Delivering pizzas for a Wrexham sponsor, the local restaurant. His kids wear Wrexham shirts. What a ridiculous suggestion

I think "Wrexy" should be the non-league equivalent of "Spursy"

Only stayed up last season due to Covid, no takeover and we would have had a derby next season.

Bad day for the Goats. 2 ex players score for Stockport including Rooney plus ex Chester player gives penalty away for another ex Chester player to score. 3 teams above them gain a points advantage with games in hand and 3 teams immediately below them catch up. Oh dear !

I see theyve had to go into the free agent market to find some new strikers. Earlier in the week on Red Passion they were talking about maybe getting Wilfred Bony or Daniel Sturbridge but they’ve ended up with two who played a bit for Gloucester City and one who warmed the bench for Barnsley a few years ago. Don’t these players realize that it’s signing for a global force we’re talking about here.
I’d love it if they missed out on the play offs completely this season.

Oh dear ! Yep. The Goats winning their annual fight against promotion. Another bottle to add to their 'bottlers' collection

Marsh-Brown is quality in that league to be fair.

I see Chesterfield now in play off positions. Seem to recall there are some add ons to the Taylor transfer for avoiding relegation, getting promoted etc

They have also played more games

I was under the impression that league table had been adjusted to account for Dover points deductions

I've always thought that rather than deduct points, it would make more sense to just award three points to everyone yet to play Dover. They've effectively won those games by default. Still not ideal, but fairer than penalising teams for winning.

You are right it has. I find it unbelievable that Dover have just stopped playing yet finish bottom and stay up with a 12pt deduction next season. This of course is the national league covering their own arses again in case of a lawsuit off Dover over the funding fiasco

I would have more sympathy for Dover's situation if Jim Parmenter hadn't been such a key figure in the shambolic way the NL has conducted itself.

You could still argue though that if a club is expelled from the league, some sort of application process could be used to take that team's place.
