It was a warning that things aren't always what they seem. Stop being so envious all that glitters is not gold To be fair most Chester fans are coming across as jealous. Triggered on Twitter. I don't do Twitter but I know what you mean I've seen enough on fb there's no point to it if it comes off for them all well good personally I think eventually it will all end in tears but they will enjoy it while it lasts

Imagine the scenario that Wrexham fans fail to ratify the deal, R and R sever their interest ( think we’ve been there) and look for an alternative vehicle for their soap opera. Where better than Chester, what a story line that would be!! Stranger things have happened.

I like your little Netflix-inspired pun at the end of your post there.

Ironically by the time the vote has been decided their next match is against Hartlepool, the team they originally approached. If it all goes well the board at Hartlepool will always be wondering what if?

I get the idea, that a series about the rise of Salford City would be popular, given the association with the class of 92. Why would people want to watch a series about a distinctly average, Conference side? Unless they struggle to get promotion and it turns into some, ' Big Ron Manager' farce, then it would be compelling vuewing Didnt we have Americans managing us once? And if this bid is that good, why did Hartlepool turn it down,. They are not known for being a sleeping giant . If something looks too good to be true, it usually is.

They are actors FFS and are very good at making people think they are something else
We know they are actors but they come across during the presentation as two genuine people.
Would I have sold to Murphy? - from what I read on here and elsewhere no - would I sell to R&R? - already voted yes.
I get the bitter comments from some on here given the rivalry but my guess is you would not have turned down this offer, which is already turning out to be beneficial for the club (apparently overseas shirt sales are well up) and hopefully will be for the town in future.

All I can say is if you go down this route enjoy the ride but I feel it will all end in tears you weren't their 1st choice so why did the other clubs refuse their deal, you have to be very careful and don't be taken in by 2 very good actors who can come across as anything a particular role demands

Yes we will enjoy the ride as long as it lasts because with no sale next stop would have been NLN or even worse - Welsh leagues!

I know we would be disappointed if the roles were reversed but please allow us a little pleasure after what has been a terrible time under WST stewardship.

Fair point, he’s not very moderate in his off-topic opinions at all, and even attempts to deliberately antagonise fellow Chester fans on this sub-section.

Not bitter at all cornerflag like I said if you go down that route enjoy the ride. My personal opinion is it will end in tears but time will tell I assume even as a moderator I am entitled to an opinion even if that opinion differs from yours

Something to do with one of the names of the consortium behind the scenes, in the background, and a fraud conviction.

I’ve not seen them ask any tough questions about it, I asked a Wrexham fan about it and he would rather have a few good years and go tits up as that’s what the WST we’re doing anyway. They’d be in our league if it wasn’t for Covid.

In all honesty, I'm glad we don't have to make this decision.
On one hand, you've got two famous multimillionaires looking to plough millions into a club in the doldrums. On the other, you're taking the club out of the safest and most satisfying hands it will ever be in, giving it to two people who it's unlikely had even heard of the town of Wrexham until a couple of months ago, and reverting back to private ownership - a model with a history of failure for them, and even more so for us.
I would feel like whether I voted yes or no, I was being foolish.

I honestly thought if a fan owned Club could have been successful it would have been you but Do you know who's going to be running the Club yet? I can't imagine it'll be 1 CEO juggling everything.

Great. We can call you the Sell-outs now, as well as the Goats and the Tories.

It's believed that ex Liverpool CEO Peter Moore is to be the new CEO of the club. With roots to the town it is possible already an article in the Liverpool Echo stating it could be true but who knows

They served their purpose, won the lottery and their fans are now happy to just enjoy the ride. I doubt they'd of seen league football again if they stayed fan owned. I think in a hypothetical situation we'd be foolish to turn a similar offer down. We need to get over 2010 if we ever want to be ambitious again. The scars will always be there but we can't just live in fear thinking we'd go bust every time an opportunity arose. Life is about taking risks.

Anything has to be better than constantly treading water skint in the conference north forever and a day.
