Perhaps this change of ownership will result in Wrexham doing a Chester so to speak. 3 promotions in 3 years to the Championship, then struggle to maintain that level for a few years before dropping down to L1 their new “natural” level. Think PL is pie in the sky. It will be interesting to see the duration of the new ownership. If things go ok, I would guess 3 to 5 years. Am I envious, yep just a bit. Would I like Chester FC to have a similar opportunity, yep. Will I keep supporting the current model until then, most definitely.

There were 51 complaints, Deadpool reviews, etc. Some straws being clutched here lads. We’ve just secured our short-medium term survival in the most uncertain times in living memory. Clubs league 1 and below don’t know where they’ll be in a few months and you’re all talking years down the line. You would all have snatched their hands off if it was the other way around. Hand on heart, no I wouldn't have personally. But I hope you're right that it secures your survival at least. I’m the same, sorry but I’m staunch fan-ownership and any private takeover is a very very hard sell for me.

I need to sort that out. Still doesn’t mean I’m not 100% pro-fan ownership.

In addition, i worry that we are going to lose out in a big way with the local kids, not just in Chester but in the local areas including Deeside. 'Deadpool' buying them will be seen as a massive draw. Pre lockdown it seems we struggled anyway to consistently get younger supporters in, well you can bet your bottom dollar it'll be even harder now. This isnt just someone with money taking over our rivals. This is a pair of individuals one being a global megastar. How the hell do we compete with that? ‘Megastar’ might be overstating it slightly , I had to Google him when I heard about the bid. Mind you, I can hardly be described as a younger supporter, so perhaps it’s just me. I'm the same, never heard of them until the bid.

Utterly gobsmacked at pro diehard fan ownership chief whip himself Mr Frank Mandelson not being a member and having the audacity to call me out over my thoughts on the situation. Your not entitled to a vote either way currently so I’ll SLEEP well tonight.
1. I back the model while nothing is on table 2. All I want is an end to the extreme hatred of possible investment. It’s bonkers.

Then it was us supporters who wanted to be fan owned that voted through the deal whereas those who wanted to sell did not get a say.
Funny old world innit...........

Can you provide one example of extreme hatred of possible investment from any post on Deva Chat or any Chester FC social media, I understand you're passionate about the subject but you keep projecting that you're suffering some hardship and suffering abuse for your views when I've not seen any such thing. Some fans want to stay fan owned, I've not seen any of the hatred your espousing, it's cheapens your argument to keep playing the victim of abuse.

Bruera/A55 calling me a fraud whilst having two logins... what’s the point pal? Just makes you seem like you’re only on a WUM.
As I’ve said, I like probably many hundreds of others have let my membership lapse, sometimes it’s hard to keep up with renewing in the midst of our busy lives - another one of those things people “have been meaning to get round to” for ages. Doesn’t mean I won’t.

Its a pound per month, are you suggesting people are that hard up? If so, then I'm sure we as a community club could treat those cases individually and allow those people to attend the meetings regardless...

Here comes sleepy MKII, I’ve never once said I am personally abused. Much like you I love this club unconditionally, do I feel disillusioned? I do. Frank wittering on about joint accounts is boring now. More than willing to meet up for a chat in the white bear to talk about our great club, just private message me and I’ll give you my number. I thank everyone who have given up their spare time to help either at board level or at club shop over the years, them people are amazing and the backbone of this great club. My intention is to not slag them people off. I just don’t see this approach being the answer long term. I truly believe we need some more professional help at board level to move forward. Sometimes it’s just to much happy clapping from my view. Look at the Bignot debacle which has set us back years. I don’t believe it’s outrageous what I am saying either, for instance I run a 36 minute 10k and the fact is that’s probably quicker than all of the squad bar one or two, My point being I am not a pro footballer so I am clearly not good enough regards of how much effort I’d put in being a diehard. That’s my comparison to the board.

Some deals you can smell a rat from the off...but to be fair wrexham looks a pretty solid bet...the Hollywood guys have set their store out and it looks a fabulous way forward for the club...I’ve always been a very staunch fan owned supporter ...but to have much success on that platform seems pretty remote...we personally just haven’t got enough fans to make it work..we just plunged from crisis to crisis...

Considering the fan base size they should have been out of that league years ago. It could take years and years of were lucky but wouldn’t it be something to earn a place in the EFL all done by the fans and not a project done for TV.

As you will know fan base size does not matter when you are up against small clubs like FGR who have mega rich owners like veggie Vince.
If we get promoted on the basis of a TV show (which I don't personally believe for one minute) then I will settle for that. We were never going to get promoted being run by a bunch of well meaning amateurs.
You can wallow around the NLN as long as you want under your current supporter ownership model but you need a serious cash injection from somewhere to gain promotion and you can bet your bottom dollar that if the same offer had been made to you then your supporters would have voted for it.
Or am I wrong?

I think the vote would have been closer to the 75% needed, I know the Wrexham fans I know have wanted the WST out for years so not surprised that they've gone for it.

A Wrexham supporting mate of mine has always wanted the WST out as well. He tells me the man calling the shots for Reynolds on this side of the pond is Humphrey Ker. He says with an Old Etonian comedian in charge what could possibly go wrong. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Humphrey_Ker
