He proper needs his hard drive checking Don’t know what’s worse, the article or the editor for allowing it to be published.

Believe it or not we used to have the best coverage in non league all gone to shit Sad to see how low the Chronicle have sunk over such a short period of time. They have given the club great coverage and support over the years but now we have to stomach this unfunny click bait.

Thought it was pretty harmless myself. Some of our fans seem to spend every moment going on about us needing an investor without doing anything about it, so not sure why a light-hearted article about it is a problem.

Suspect the article was done with the right intentions, but it’s clear it hasn’t gone down well with people close to the heart of the club from reading social media. Don’t think the reaction would have been as fierce had it been offset by the Chron still providing strong coverage of the club, but it’s become very limited without the passion and knowledge of Dave Powell and can’t see that changing sadly.
This article certainly did not read like it was written by someone with a good knowledge of Chester FC, summed up by failing to mention the most obvious link John Bishop has with the club when loosely suggesting why he might have been interested.

They’ve talked about Wrexham’s takeover more then they’ve talked about stuff going on at our club recently It’s all click bait aids Never would’ve happened when Dave was there massive shame

Think it’s the way most papers are going with their online content now - clickbait ads and Buzzfeed-style puff pieces about the Top Ten this and 25 Reasons that.

They’ve talked about Wrexham’s takeover more then they’ve talked about stuff going on at our club recently It’s all click bait aids Never would’ve happened when Dave was there massive shame It's a pretty trashy article. It just hasn't riled me as much as it seems to with some of our fans. There's a twinkle of a worthwhile point behind it though. We seem to have a good number of fans who can't stand supporter ownership and demand a sugar daddy, even though there hasn't been a serious offer to buy the club in 10 years. So, if that's what they want, then rather than whine about it on Facebook, why not do what the article did and contact some potential buyers, and try and "sell" the club? I've said before, if hundreds of our fans tweet at Hugh Jackman, with a hashtag like #JackoForChester or something, I bet he would at least reply!
