For the third year running, this year's Christmas number 1 is in aid of food banks, and the song at #5 is a minute long and repeatedly calls Boris Johnson a c**t. Sums up the era really.

Radio 1 refused to play the song at number 5 or refer to it as anything more than "a song about Boris Johnson". Obviously I get that there's certain language they can't broadcast on Christmas afternoon, but there is a clean version of the song. The Top 40 is a factual official report at the end of the day and the BBC should not moralise or contextualise it. If a song about Boris Johnson being great got in the charts, would they censor it?
