Chester FC’s away match against Bradford (Park Avenue) AFC has now been rearranged for Tuesday 19th January. The original fixture was scheduled for Saturday 9th January, but was postponed due to a frozen pitch. It will now take place on Tuesday 19th January at 19:45.

Thanks Rio. As others have said, shame we don’t seem to have been able to arrange anything for Saturday.

BPA OWS -
Regrettably, Saturday’s game against Brackley has had to be postponed. This is due to Brackley having returned positive Covid-19 tests amongst their players and staff.
It goes without saying that everyone here at Bradford (Park Avenue) wish those concerned a speedy recovery
We have moved quickly to replace the fixture, and are delighted to announce that we will now play Chester FC THIS SATURDAY 16th January (not Tuesday as previously announced) at the Horsfall with a 3pm KO.
Once again, a big thank you to all at Chester and the National League for their help in facilitating the fixture.
Streaming details will be announced in due course

I wouldn't get too excited yet, they have snow forecast for 2 of the next 3 days unfortunately They have had the heavy snowfall that was forecast and it’s due to freeze tonight and tomorrow before turning to rain on the weekend, it might mean we have to move back to Tuesday if the thaw is late coming hope we can be as flexible as we have been up to now.

I know there are concerns in terms of funding/grants etc at the moment. On the field of play we had started to build some momentum so be a great shame as far as this is concerned if the game doesn’t go ahead . Like has been said if Saturday falls foul of snow ❄️ etc then let’s hope we can play them on Tuesday night

Now being played tomorrow (Saturday), according to OWS Posted by AVFO on this thread two days ago. Looks unlikely now with the bad weather in West Yorkshire.

This does not sound good either, Bradford City's match tomorrow has already been called off - 'Snow and ice had been cleared from the frost covers - which have remained on the playing surface since Wednesday - in its entirety, thanks to hours of hard work from City's ground staff. But, with Valley Parade and Burlington Street outside the stadium particularly hazardous - and more adverse weather forecast - the EFL has made the decision to postpone the fixture. Upon inspecting the surface, Madley said: "The efforts of the ground staff have been superb and, from a playing perspective, there is no issue whatsoever. All the snow has been cleared from the surface, and the pitch is still a decent one. "There is obviously a much bigger picture than the playing perspective though, and the roads around the ground certainly do not look or feel safe. "The EFL have to take into account the fact the away side have a long distance to travel, and are likely to be bringing their team coach down Valley Parade. "The ground staff here have put me in a position to say that the pitch is fine, so massive credit goes to them, but there are much bigger decisions to be made in terms of safety outside the ground." City's chief executive officer, Ryan Sparks, added: "We have worked tirelessly to ensure the pitch is playable, and that remains the case. The playing surface is not frozen and is in good condition, however surrounding areas of the stadium are extremely unsafe and this has caused concerns. "Given where we are in society, we do not wish to put people’s welfare at risk and potentially add further strain to the country’s already-stretched emergency services." "
