The most amusing dish that I have ever seen on a restaurant menu was in Trinidad. The dish was “Goat in a moat” and was basically some goat chops served in a broth type thing. Thought the name was quite funny.
what is the funniest or most amusing thing that you have all seen on a menu and why?

I’m longing for the day when I can sit down and eat “the rich”...

Can't remember where it was but I once saw Monkfish with Seaman Sauce!
Some funny things on the menu in Iceland, like puffin, whale, dried fish and fermented shark, which is a shark buried underground and left to rot. Suppose they couldn't be too fussy about what they ate before refrigeration.

I tried the scorpion that Beijing is well known for - texture and taste was very similar to those very burnt crisps you find at the bottom of the packet sometimes.
I ate some pretty odd looking food whilst in North Korea - often you wouldn't be told what it was you were getting and that was maybe for the best, but by and large, it tasted pretty good.

The Shipping Forecast in Liverpool does burgers with loads of things you can add on to them. One of their suggestions is fried egg and peanut butter, which sounds like they just tried to find the weirdest combo going.
