This is something i'm sure the club and board will be planning and looking into across the next few months. I can't imagine any Premierleague/Championship teams doing any pre-season tours abroad at present due to covid.
It might give us a better opportunity of hopefully arranging a friendly with Liverpool,Everton etc or Stoke due to the recent connections we have with them.
Obviously there would be limited capacity for tickets depending on restrictions/test events, but if allowed could we also run the streaming service out as an extra income source ? As there could be a big potential market for this based on support base for each big team? If advertised and priced well.

Assuming the club is allowed to admit 25% of the still unsponsored Deva Stadium’s capacity, I would have thought that supporters will be so desperate to see a live game that it wouldn’t matter if the Blues had a friendly against Liverpool or Lancaster, it would still be close to a sell-out. So why should the club waste money bringing a Premier League or Championship side to Chester?

Can’t imagine capacity being an issue if things keep on the way they are

Social distancing and mask wearing will be things for quite some time I suspect.

Especially considering the governments apparent plans to completely remove all Covid protection measures currently in place within schools, despite more and more variants appearing on our shores - schools were largely the reason behind the spike which led to doubling the country’s death toll and a second lockdown.
Yes, I can’t see there being “normal service resumed” with football for at least the remainder of this year unfortunately. If not behind closed doors, next season will start with very limited capacity, I think. Similar to the one-off game we did manage to stage in front of a crowd last season.

Social distancing and mask wearing will be things for quite some time I suspect. Pre season games usually start in July in front of a thousand or so spectators, so I can see these going ahead as a sort of trial for the new season, with them being ticket only. Let’s face it, if football isn’t able to start in September, in front of at least near normal crowds, then most clubs won’t survive the Winter.

My expectations remain low, which I find helps me as a coping mechanism

I really hope if we can get fans in that we arrange a friendly with Exeter. Would be amazing in my humble opinion.

I had a look at the Bury AFC team as I thought Bern and Jonno as well as the club would probably do a friendly to help support them, saw a few familiar faces in Aiden Chippendale who had a short stint with us and Bailey Sloane who scored our first in the youth cup
