Time plays tricks with the memory, but I seem to remember the first time he played against Tranmere for us, at Macclesfield, I don't think I've ever seen a player who was so obviously trying so hard - he was like a whirling dervish, putting himself about all over the place to make a point, no doubt (did he hit the bar?). I think we still lost the game, though...

One of my favourite players ever to wear a Chester shirt a true player who made the best of what he had a tough guy as well wish we had a player like him now

I think we still lost the game, though... fantastic to read those words (whirling dervish) haven't heard that in years my mother used to say it when as kids we couldn't keep still.
