Reading this are we going to a cashless turnstile system?

Reading this are we going to a cashless turnstile system? Not exactly no, but we are hoping to go as cashless as possible to help reduce the chances of Covid-19 being passed on. Remember the virus can last on bank notes for up to 17 days and we need to consider everyone here from the car park attendants through to the ticket office or turnstile staff. That's not the only reason though, reducing the amount of cash transactions will also reduce queues too. So, top and tail of it, if you can get your tickets online then please do as it will help overall. Thanks Jeff

Imagine that during a game against hereford or someone? Leave it how it is imo

Anyone with an iPhone can just use Apple Pay in seconds.

What about the old boys/girls who don’t have a smart phone or use the internet? Got to cater for everyone, joke if it’s cashless.
Regarding season tickets, I was going to renew for the 3rd season on the bounce but not so sure now, for the 3rd time this season I’ve been ignored when I’ve emailed, the latest time was about about Pin Badges, I’m not the only one with this thinking. A mate of mine offered his time to help out and even offered to donate something and was ignored.
Getting a bit ‘If your face fits’ lately for me.

I fully understand the safety issues at present, but if we don't have a 'pay on the gate' option a lot won't bother, and particularly those who can be deemed 'floating' supporters. Hopefully the Covid situation will continue to improve between now and the season start.

The 17 days statistic is incorrect. It lasts for 1 hour then dramatically decreases over the next 5 hours to a 1% chance of infection.

Not everyone has that though do they? What’s wrong with cash exactly anyway? Keep it how it is but have online ticket for those that wanna pay that way. Don’t fix something that ain’t broke

What about contactless credit card? Most of us can cope with this.

Okay, just to clarify, assuming that social distancing restrictions will be lifted in time for the new season, there will still be entry by cash payment available, but we just want to try and encourage as many as possible to go online as it will help us in the short and long term.
Thanks, Jeff

Just a quick one also about renewals tomorrow - the ideal way to renew will be to access your Box Office online account and purchase your (and potentially others) season tickets from tomorrow morning. The Box Office will only allow you to register with the same email once so you'll see this message pop up if trying to re-register with the same email address: "Sorry there was an error" "An account has already been created using these details" If you cannot remember your password, please use the 'reset your password' facility on the log in page. There is a full list of FAQs on the Season Tickets page on the CFC website: www.chesterfc.com/tickets/season-tickets/Thanks, Jeff

Thanks Jeff, I have just purchased a car park pass.
I hope this is in order as I am not a season ticket holder and am only able to attend 8-10 matches a season but by paying £30 for a pass I am helping the club financially and reducing handing cash to the car park attendants. I still will wish to pay cash for my match day ticket on the Harry Mc.

Must admit I did chuckle at one of the questions on the FAQ’s page for season ticket renewal which asked “What if I don’t have online access to renew my season ticket?” - the question and the answer to that question appearing... on the website 🤣

Does anyone know how many of new season tickets will become available on the 21st? Given how sensible our board has been throughout the pandemic I’m guessing they’ll be taking advice from various bodies before announcing how many season tickets they can sell. Let’s face it, after yesterday’s extension of the COVID measures, everything seems to be up in the air again.
