Anyway, our first pre-season friendly was announced today where we will host Bury AFC at home on Saturday 17th July at 15:00.

Christ some real challenges there (!) Glad we’re having the same friendlies every year as well as the same squad.

Think playing Nantwich away the week before the season starts is wise, a real proper test against a very good side to end the pre-season schedule.
The rest are just fitness and tactical trials, let’s be honest. I’ve been to Elton Vale before for a family christening reception (I have extended family who live in the Elton area of Bury, as well as nearby Ramsbottom) - it’s literally an open field with a clubhouse/hall. Local to the LADS though, and from that article it looks like they’ve facilitated our attempts of mimicking Barrow AFC with training in a more central location so we obviously owe them one.

We've only played radcliffe and trafford in pre season in recent years so thats not true is it

Home? Shame that, it’s a great away day.
Basically says that the Cymru Alliance is a higher ranked league than ours.

There’s a Euros semi-final that night, so can’t see the crowd being too high if played at the same time.

Yes they are 👍. It’s had a big revamp too as all of the seats have been replaced to match the name and branding of the new club, while they have a new 4G pitch as well. The ground has also been renamed as the Leasing.com Stadium too.

Looks like the Llandudno game on Tuesday night is going to be the youth team, if the first team are at a training camp all next week.

I only found out about it on Llandudno’s Twitter page while we haven’t posted a thing about it, so a bit of clarification from somebody behind-the-scenes would be most appreciated.
