Will we take all of Foden, Mount, Grealish, will Henderson be included or will we learn our lesson and not take players who aren't 100% fit.

With a 26-man squad now allowed, I'd say you can afford to risk a few rising stars, and some not 100% fit older heads too.

Yes the extra three players will make a difference in those attacking midfield positions, I reckon. Still wouldn’t go with Henderson though - he’s pretty much missed the entire season.

I seem to remember throughout my lifetime the goalkeeper spot has always been pretty much nailed on. Not so much so these days as they are all pretty average.
Having said that i hope he goes for Henderson.

Having said that i hope he goes for Henderson. I remember there being some question marks in 2010. Capello went with Robert Green but then dropped him after his error against the US, then went with David James for the rest of the tournament, who was almost 40. England keepers have a habit of crashing and burning. Robinson, Hart and Pickford all looked to have made the shirt their own at one point, only for their form to nosedive.

In the 90s it felt like we were a bit spoilt for choice with keepers. Nigel Martyn was always pretty solid, as was Tim Flowers.

Portugal v Germany final England out in semi

Looking at the format, it might be another case of it working out better if England finish second in their group. The winner of Group D plays the runner-up in Group F, which is the group with France, Germany and Portugal in. Runner-up plays the runner-up in Group E, which will probably be Sweden or Poland.
England's record in the Euros is dreadful. We've still never won a knockout game outside of England. It's probably harder to have a run in the Euros than the World Cup as there are fewer weak teams, although saying Portugal got to the final of the last one without really playing anyone better than Wales.

18 months ago a bunch of us entered the ballot for tickets for some England group games. One of us was lucky, so we each bought tickets for the Scotland and Czech Republic games.
In January, UEFA said people had to either return their tickets then, or face not being refunded should the match be shifted to another country. 2 out of the 4 of us with tickets took that option.
One mate and myself decided to hang on to our tickets. UEFA have yesterday cancelled them. This is presumably after some form of ballot, although no details were provided as to how or when that was conducted.
Telly it is then. Sigh.

England are going out in the last 16 again. No chance they are beating France, Portugal or Germany. I'm going for the Germans to do us on pens again. France Portugal final assuming they can't meet before then. If they can then the winner will go all the way. Shock group stage exits will be Netherlands and possibly Spain.

My prediction is for France to beat Portugal in the final, with us bowing out at the quarter-final stage sadly.

I find it incredible that Joachim Lowe is still in charge of them after the last three years they've had. Any other country would have sacked him or had a players' revolt, but they've stuck with him. Maybe that patience will be rewarded. Statistically, one of those three giants from Group F will probably flop. I'm going for Portugal, who never really look that good but always seem to ride their luck. Hungary to surprisingly get out of that group. Hard to know what to expect from the Dutch. They haven't qualified for the last two tournaments but have looked good recently. Their group looks pretty easy so it would be a disaster if they didn't get out of it.

Can see Italy doing well. Roberto Mancini has got them all united by all accounts. Favourable group too.

As a surprise package I'll go for Ukraine, who won their group ahead of Portugal.

England should qualify from the group stage and could be a good bet for at least the semis but for an outside bet my money would be on Switzerland they could well be the dark horses of this competition

I've got a sneaky feeling that UEFA will give San Marino a last minute "wild card" and they will go on to beat Germany 4-0 in the final. So convinced am I about this, I've invested a massive 10p on SkyBet!
Seriously though, I think England are in with a good shout.

We far exceeded expectations in our last major tournament. Two semi-final places in the past three years isn’t to be sniffed at. We need to get to that next level of being consistent finalists.

I think we have a squad of players strong enough to win it, but I don't think Southgate is tactically astute enough.

He’s just a little too conservative in the big games against the best teams for the attacking talent we’ve got.
