Dumb and dumber sat in a jacuzzi together in LA must be starting to wonder whether this was such a good idea after all. How much do they have to offer in bonuses to motivate the team to get out of this tin-pot league? Another year to wait to be that 'global force', chaps. Looks like that 'massive floodlights syndrome' has claimed another couple of victims...

The bottlers bottle it again. They must have a crate full now.

Started the day in sixth, only needed to finish seventh, finished eighth to miss out entirely 😂😂😂
Play-offs really are completely pot luck though aren’t they - we’ve had three attempts and never got past the first hurdle. Add to the fact the NLPremier is a brutal league with those tiny bankrolled southern clubs (Sutton winning the title, Bromley sneaking into the last playoff spot).
In terms of what it means for their benefactors etc - they only finalised it all in Feb/March and haven’t gone straight in with big money signings etc. It was always going to be about starting with a proper summer break, pre-season signings etc - potentially a new manager they can coax with the dollar and back with even more dollar too.

They've said they won't go mad but I think it's the only way they'll escape. Stockport are paying Patrick Madden 3k a week and they've only managed 3rd. Ridiculous money in that league.

I think if two multi-multi millionaires had taken us over then, with all the huge promises they made, I'd be feeling pretty raw that we didn't even sneak a play-off spot, for goodness sake.
It's all well and good saying 'there's always next year', but a lot can happen between now and next season, and (yet another) season playing in a pub league far below their self-defined status must be a bitter pill. Oh, and you've got teams like Southend and Grimsby with big support coming down too, so it's all the harder...

Get what you’re saying but they’ve only been in place for a couple of months and can hardly make big money signings at this time of the season.
Hope I’m wrong but can see them starting from scratch this summer and really going all out next season.

I thought it is all based on this netflix thing? I honestly think this is a 'toe in the water' thing and next season is the real gig. If they don't do it next season i can see them binning it and selling on to someone else

There is no Netflix thing, it’s going to be on FX with two series definitely confirmed.
There’s also going to be a Hollywood rom-com involving them (a Goat fan has to choose between his American girl and the club he loves, centred around the 1992 FA Cup tie against Arsenal) - production starting later this year.

😂😂😂😂 great to see everyone laughing at their expense.
I could be wrong but I think we may get a couple of quid from Taylor's add ons for Chesterfield making the play offs as well.

Premier League fans think Spurs are bottlers. They have nothing on our friends down the road.
Can't believe they mucked that up. I barely even thought it was worth checking they'd made it.

Let’s just enjoy our gloating before we start debating what they might or might not do ffs big time bottlers never let us down so no need to think about what they may do, be the same posts in 10 years time, lets concentrate on what we can do and where we will be in 10 yrs, but for now like the previous 13 yrs lets revel in there shitness

Just for one day let’s not talk about their multi million pound owners, their series on FX or whatever it is or how they’re gonna throw everything at promotion next season. Let’s just for one day laugh at how shit they are and how they bottle it every year 😂😂😂

I wouldn't worry about the film it looks low budget and the writer and director really aren't great looking at their imdb. The production company will put up the money for it, if it loses money it will be them that loses it. Other than a bit of publicity the club won't see much from it.

Can't make any, only team in the league bound by a transfer window. All they can do is bring in free agents.

Exactly.
I don’t think any of their fans expected them to go strolling to the title when R&R only took over two or three months ago, with a transfer window, towards the end of the current season.
No, it’ll all be on next year.

I think they will eventually regret selling thenselves out to a Hollywood production model. This can't end well.

I'd especially like to thank the two owners for offering the players a promotion bonus, which drove the players on to get so close before spectacularly imploding
