lobster said in previous post its like watching a never ending episode of beadles about, ironicaly he was given a bad hand too I laughed at that and now I feel even worse - thank you. Don’t Watch the BPA managers interview then. Absolutely no preparation, Covid etc and yet they still win. Not seen Watsons yet so hopefully he’s tearing the paint of the walls in the changing room.

I think we need to get used to poor results continuing for a while….if we all are happy with SW being our manager then we should put trust in him building our squad back up, we need to look forward to next season now … Watson's the right man, he just needs time & to offload more of the shite.

Like I say Michael Wilde even at his age puts them away though wasted too much time on this so called talent trials ok the money is tight but there has to be someone out there next thing you will want barry butler to hang his chamois leather and bucket up to give us 90 mins let me know who in this team is better than him would have him back in a heartbeat and more he is younger than waring and does more than him fitter than Dudley too

We created loads, and barely conceded any chances after the goal. So a far better away performance than in the early stages of the season.
Waring I reckon won't be on much, but I'd rather give Clarke a go at this stage, sorry but GW has been here how long and makes Craig Hobson look like Zlatan. Compltely agree with the poster above about Dudley. He looks up for it 1 game in 10, that isn't enough anymore, he's looked like a park player at times this season. A player in there but he's never going to be fast or pyshical enough, quality finisher in the box with the ball at his feet but it's very rare that this siutation actually happens.
Get rid of both and bring in one half-decent striker, please. I'm sick of watching both trot around, they're never goong to take us to the next level. SW has had four games with these players now, from what I've seen and heard so far I'm sure he's working on fixing this situation asap.

Mind you he also said his keeper didn’t have to make many saves which is total Bollox , so I would take the rest with a pinch of salt.

At least Watson has had a demo of the crap we have had to put up with. Utterly dire. We have a few good players but that is not enough within a right bunch of dross. Up front we are toothless.
Dudley - technically good player at times but fat and generally ineffective Waring - really nice lad but not up to it at this level Stephenson - donkey with a crap touch Clarke - not going to have a go at the young lad but he's not the answer (not yet anyway)
We had all the possession and didn't force their keeper into a decent save. Not sure what that new left back gave us. The other new lad Apter had some nice touches but didn't actually do much and lost the battle against their left back frequently. Looks a bit light weight to be honest but I would definitely like to see him play again. Everyone else was pretty average. Keeper had no chance of the goal and absolutely nothing to do after that.
Watson should be tearing strips off them for that garbage against seriously one of the worst teams I have ever seen. Major rebuilding job needed.

SW has had four games with these players now, from what I've seen and heard so far I'm sure he's working on fixing this situation asap. Personally, in regards to Waring as I’ve said before, I think he’s unfairly become a scapegoat for a lot of people (like Gray) more so since our previous scapegoat, Johnston left. Thought he did alright today and probably should have got that penalty given on him when the GK clattered him. I think he has a lot to offer, but he’s been used as a Plan B for the majority of his time at Chester coming off the bench and in and out of the team. He needs a run of games to show his best. I can’t actually remember him starting more than 3 games in a row. When he comes on we aimlessly hoof the ball to him and expect him to do something with it. In contrast Dudley’s been given opportunity with consistent starts, but not got much to show for it. I think he’s a best as a no. 10 playing in between the lines, which he did a few seasons ago at times. Trouble with that is we don’t have the personnel in CM to accommodate this if we want to play Glendon and Weeks together. There’s definitely a player in there it’s just finding a way/system to allow him to do it. The finishing was poor today but in general the quality of the balls in to the box and general service needs to improve as well. I don’t think anyone has been helped by the imbalance in the squad at the start of the season. The lack of an out and out wide man has been clear to see at times although Apter looked very promising today.

Actually now looks like a poor start for Watson, on paper at least. This team always find ways to drop points, it's frustrating in the extreme. Not a dig at Watson at all but I think some fans were a bit quick to think everything was hunky-dory after the Telford and Fylde games and take the piss out of B&J. The last two games have been a reality check and a reminder that we have to change a failing culture at the club. Watson seems able to diagnose the problem. It's interesting to hear him say it's been widely known in this league that Chester play nice football but don't win games.

Darlington 6 up against Farsley. Exactly what we should be doing with the amount of sitters we've had today. darlo best team I've seen at Chester this year apart the last 10 minutes when we got out of jail

Scores very rarely and can’t tackle. That pass to Grand last week summed him up. A liability.

Chester had virtually all the play, but the finishing was absolutely dreadful. More need showing the door , unfortunately and we need a proven goalscorer asap. Dudley missed 2 sitters. We wouldnt have scored if we'd played until midnight

All over them like we were in 2012/13 season but just could not find that finishing touch
Must of had about 98% possession in the 2nd half
Weeks was right that he called the ref and lino an embarrassment after they went down far to easy
Thought we should of had a pen late on Grand was having his shirt ripped off him

1 point against the worst 2 teams in the league.
I am absolutely done with this season.
Let’s give Steve a chance to sort the mess that is this squad out and let him go again next year with his own group of lads.
All this on the same day bloody Kiddy make the 4th round. Forgot what a cup run was.

Stupidly frustrating day, the whole game was basically an attack v defence training session and it genuinely felt like we had about 98% possession. I’ve honestly never known us to have so much of the ball in a competitive game before. One big problem is that we prance about on the edge of the box with no intent or purpose. We usually pass instead of shoot or make the wrong pass when it’s actually on.
Dudley is being questioned now and to be honest rightly so. He has a tonne of ability, is tidy and slick on the ball but he is passive and sluggish looking at the moment. His effectiveness has fallen off a cliff and now only scores from the spot. Waring is similar, not someone I like to have a go at but just very passive. I can’t understand how he didn’t get a penalty late on though, their keeper just bulldozes his way through a crowd and appeared to clatter in to multiple players but because he goes down gets the decision his way, ridiculous.
Criticism of Stephenson is harsh, he wasn’t great but doesn’t really deserve to be singled out. To be fair he’s all about pace and power and was never in the slightest bit going to thrive on an artificial pitch like that.
The big positive was Apter, what a prospect he is. I’ve got no doubt that he will have a good career much higher than this level.
