Not sure what to make of this to be honest. Weeks better of the two, and this season they’ve only worked well with a proper enforcer in the middle with them. Burke?
Clean slate again like, but he wasn’t great last season.

I'm a bit ambivalent as to whether he should stay or go. But he's obviously in CM's plans and, as such, like CM himself, deserves a degree of patience to see how he goes in the brave new world.

If Weeks does sign up again then, with all the news that’s come out of the club over the past fortnight and again today, I think I’ll be wanking myself into a coma.

Can only imagine this means Weeks is gone which would be gutting but expected really. Weeks is the better of the two but trying to find two players of equal quality would be impossible with our budget.
Weird one with Glendon, I think this season a lot of his issues have been confidence related, I hope he’s learnt from it because there’s definitely a player in there.
Also I believe that he owns and runs a bar, so the daytime training would suit him. Cal Mac will have watched him train and play up close so he must think he can get the best out of him, especially given the two year deal.

Glendon on a 2 year contract, I thought we only offered out 1 year deals? Hmmm not sure what to make of that one. I'm happy he's still here but like others have said I get the feeling Weeks won't be re-signing which would be a shame as he was tremendous over the back end of last season. Interesting that Glendon is the first to be announced too?

I never thought Weeks and Glendon played well together. Too much side to side then backwards passing. Off the two I would have preferred Weeks for his goal scoring abilities. But I agree that probably Weeks is not resigning. However as I think the squad will be quite young next season a player of Glendon's experience will be crucial.
Now sign Stanway and Williams.

Announce Weeks and Stephenson and I’ll be breaking into Brannigans at 8pm for jägers.
Rumour has it if Stanway signs a 2 year deal, Noddy is going on Only Fans 😂

The number of assists (13) surprised me, I genuinely thought he hadn't contributed much this season

So yeah, Brannigans then 😃😃

If glendon and Weeks enjoy playing together then maybe one will encourage the other to re-sign. Hope so!

Great news. Quality footballer. Get him doing the things he's good at and he's a huge asset.

An experienced and skilful player at this level. Need to get him playing in the right areas with solid holding midfielders doing the donkey work. His confidence in signing on to work with Calum hopefully sends a positive message to other potential player recruits.

People are forgetting he had football league teams looking at him in the previous season, if Callum gets him back to his best then the 2 years could be to help ensure we receive a decent amount if anyone comes sniffing

My question would be can we afford to be giving out 2 year deals? I take on board that you make a valid point however in terms of potential offers coming in for him then at least we have him tied down to a contract(of course not literally) and could receive a cash offer.

Club did mention an improved budget for next season so two-year deals to manager and captain obviously signify that.

Last few times I've seen Glendon I've thought he seemed a lot more economical with the ball, as if someone's reminded him he's playing in the Conference North and he just needs to do the basics right. No doubt he's a useful player but it felt like he was given a bit of a free rein last season and it was one of many things that didn't work. Hopefully we'll get the best out of him next season.

That's the only thing that raises an eyebrow for me, is dishing out 2 year contracts to Cal and Glendon. I wish Callum all the best, and hope he assembles a young, fit, squad of players who are well organised and will run through brick walls for the shirt. Those qualities go a long way at our level.

Surprised by this as I've not been impressed by Glendon at all this season but hopefully he can turn it round. Also for Weeks, I think he's been one of our best and also a passenger in games, his performance against Spennymoor was shocking, especially when you need your better players to pull their socks up. I think he's epitomised our season this year and there are better players than him out there

13 assists and 5 goals is some going for a player that most judged to have had an average season. If we get the set up of the team right, he'll be a different maker.

Yeah fair play didn't realise he'd clocked up that many. Also completely forgot that he won player of the year in 20/21, we've all got short memories in football!

2 years too many, one of the problems with this team over the last couple of seasons. Slows the game down too much and can't tackle. Assists and goals is a little surprise but he's overrated in my eyes

Back to Glendon - Getting your captain to re-sign for 2 years is a really positive statement.
