Scotland has a set up similar to England but not really a football pyramid it has junior football split into numerous lower and super leagues (all amateur) however some of the bigger teams get gates not far away from us, I went to watch Lochee United (Dundee) play Tayport (fife) so a derby, a few year back in the junior cup final at Tannadice Dundee united”s ground and there was If I remember correctly about 5-6k watching. Pollock in Glasgow attract large crowds for their bigger games maybe a couple of thousand, you have above junior football the lowland and highland leagues these are a step up again, still amateur but these amateur leagues have now recently had two way access to the football league, Kelty hearts from Fife and Cove Rangers (Aberdeen) came up and are both screaming up the league. Now joined by Bonnyrigg rose (Edinburgh).

When i was touring the highlands i was told that the league up there is particularly strong, perhaps similar to North East England where they prefer to remain in regional league due to the travel issues. Theres a train that runs from Inverness down to Aberdeen where theres pretty much a stop for each team.
