Danny Elliott signs for Boreham Wood. Makng a decent career for himself. Needs to be played off the shouder of the last defender and the ball into the channels. He will need to impose himself more in that league, against some seasoned defenders, but wish the lad well. |

Interesting to see how Elliott gets on - obviously got a great record at our level but didn’t make much of an impact during his short stint at Hartlepool. He got plenty of service at Boston and a pretty high proportion of his goals were penalties, so only time will tell whether he can adapt to play not only a higher level but also in a more defensive system.
It’s been a busy day of signings for Boreham Wood, as they’ve also confirmed the arrival of Ndlovu from Brackley. Clearly they’re trying to strengthen their attack, which was very much the Achilles heel that stopped them from making the playoffs last season - they had the third-best defence in the league but were the eighth-lowest scorers!

No they merely used the Halkyn name whilst they used the pitch there (Halkyn & Flint Mountain) - have always been Flint Mountain and not linked with the ex Halkyn Utd.
