Don't know who will do it. Can we have a new main page for the Chester FC Women. I'd like to see who played all the usual match reports etc. Do not do any social media. Be good to see a separate page for them. Especially as on maintime TV at the moment is the Women's Euros.

They're a part of Chester FC though, so should be on the same forum.
BTW, their coverage on social media is good!

I have just joined our women’s media team ahead of the new season where I will be doing live tweets on Twitter, match reports, player/manager interviews, amongst other things. I agree entirely that there needs to be a section on our website dedicated to our academy and women’s teams to contain vital information about fixtures, etc.

Went to watch them play a home game at Ellesmere Port Sports Village last season and the attendance could have been no more than about 20 - and a fair proportion of that number appeared to be relatives of the players.
Would hope that a combination of the team now playing in Chester at the KGV and increased attention for women’s football following the Euros can lead to more people taking an interest in them going forward.

Yes it is but not updated. I know I maybe classified as antisocial by not doing social media but it would nice to have all updates for all teams on a club forum or main site. When you click on youth teams it says see the twitter page.

Not saying you should go to the women’s games, but surely you’d want them to do well at least.

The team is improving season on season and they deserve a bit more respect than snide comments on here.

You’re being silly now, the academy are potential future first teamers, who I support and go and watch now and then. Don’t try and make out you like womens football because it’s now the ‘in thing’ Pathetic

People can like or dislike whatever they want in life, but I can’t help feeling that anyone who isn’t willing to at least be open-minded about women’s football (and gives off an air of hostility towards it) can have few complaints about all the armchair Premier League fans in Chester who have a similar attitude towards lower division/non-league football and show zero interest in supporting our club.

It comes across as male insecurity, basically. Some people can't bear the thought of women achieving things and entertaining them unless it's sexualised.
Although I enjoy it, I get why people might not want to watch women's football. It is different - it's quite high-tempo and can be scrappy. But it's there, take it or leave it, and you shouldn't try to deny it coverage just because you don't like it. If you acknowledge that it's different or, if you want to put it bluntly, "not as good" as men's football, surely you should respect that women who want to play should get to do so on a level playing field, and that the best of them in Europe are now playing in a tournament?

The England game against Spain last night was fantastic, the skill levels, the intensity, the goals (and Georgia Stanway's stunning second goal in extra time) were all that I want from football. There is a different physicality based around average body size and strength compared to the men's game, the same as you have differences like that in youth squads, but the physicality of getting stuck into a tackle or goal mouth scramble is no different.
The key for me with our women's team is that aside from me wanting them to be successful and win trophies and leagues, is that you also begin to get a different layer of fans coming into grounds to watch them. That is very evident from the current t Euro matches, that Brighton stadium last night was full to capacity and with great energy, but there was a very high percentage of women and also family supporters than you would have had for a men's game. What that potentially means is crossover - as just as people like myself (old fart 'traditional' male supporters) are now far more likely to support, watch, enjoy and attend women's games, that can and I think will work in reverse with those other different layers of fans being brought into watch the men's games. We know that we need every supporter we can get, every turnstile payment we can get, so if the women's team starts helping that then what is not to like here (unless you're a sexist wanker with your head up your arse).

Last night's game was watched by 7.6 million people, about the same number as last season's FA Cup Final, both on BBC. So not exactly true that nobody's interested.

Its really interesting, and that game last night was great to watch. I've watched the womens team and really enjoyed it. I'm also immensely happy that young girls from our city have the pathway to play and develop their skills at our club, and at our clubs facilities. You only have to follow the womens team on twitter to see the utter pride they have in representing the club. For some sad incel to try to belittle them on here is a real indicator that he is a tool.

From CFC Trust OWS -
'Chester FC Community Trust is delighted to announce it has been granted a three-year licence to run an FA Girls’ Emerging Talent Centre (ETC).
The Football Association, with support from the Premier League, is developing a national network of ETCs as part of its plans to grow the talent programme within the women’s game, with the number of players on the pathway expected to double over the next two seasons.
The plans will see up to 70 Girls’ Emerging Talent Centres across the country, allowing more players to be identified and supported, in addition to the professional game academies that will be launched in 2023.
Starting in September 2022, the Chester FC Girls’ Emerging Talent Centre will replace the Chester FC Girls’ Player Development Centre, which has been running since 2016.
The new centre will operate for 30 weeks per season for U10s, U12s and U14s, and will be based at King George V Sports Hub in Blacon on Monday evenings. It will offer a high-quality training environment with holistic coaching and games programmes, while enabling players to continue playing for their grassroots clubs.
Jim Green, CEO of Chester FC Community Trust, said: “This is great news and will create new, exciting opportunities for talented girls locally who aspire to play in the Women’s Super League or dream of representing the Lionesses.
“To have been awarded an FA licence is really pleasing as there was strict criteria and is testament to the work Kalvin Williams, and before him Ben Richards, have undertaken in developing our girls’ football programme.
“Euro 2022 illustrates how far the women’s game has come in a short space of time and Cheshire is very much at the forefront of that growth, with a tremendous pool of players, coaches and grassroots clubs, who will be central to the success of the new centre.
“The ETC will form part of an enhanced Chester FC Women’s pathway that will provide opportunities to more players than ever before, and help us to coach, support and develop our own future stars to wear the blue and white stripes.”
Trial dates for the 2022/23 season will be announced in due course, but for more details about the Chester FC FA Girls’ Emerging Talent Centre, email community@chesterfc.com.'

Can’t make it tonight but hope the team gets a decent crowd. Well worth a watch. On a side note that graphic is spot on, not sure if Jack sorted it but looks amazing.
