Great cup match. Altrincham have a couple of really good young players in that side. However big shout out to our back four, played exceptionally well I thought tonight. The two full backs were very good and I think Stark the taller of the two centre halves looks really decent but I am basing this on having watched just the one game this season. Midfield General will love the fact that two of the back four were tall, solid ball winners with a bit of pace. When they fill out and stop growing they could be a right handful. Mention also to the keeper Beswick who pulled off a couple of really top draw saves.

It looked a game where the team who scored first would go on to win it.
Alty looked slicker and moved the ball well early on. However, we nearly got in twice. As the half went on it evened out, and we ended it unlucky not to be leading.
Second half Alty started well once again. But we defended well, and a couple of good saves from the keeper (who's handling looked good).
Went ahead from a scramble in their box after a couple of great balls in. Scored again late on from a free kick. The 15 who came on ran his nuts off, and caused them a few problems. A good performance agsinst a good team. Well done again lads!
