From Derbyshire Times -
'In a statement on Wednesday, Derbyshire Constabulary said that in January this year officers received a report of a man having allegedly sexually assaulted a woman in Chesterfield in November 2021.
The police statement read: “James Rowe, 39, of Breaston, in Derby, has now been charged and is due to appear before magistrates at Chesterfield Justice Centre on Monday, November 7.” Rowe left the Spireites by ‘mutual consent’ in February amid allegations of misconduct after being suspended by the club in January.'

Fylde need to get their priorities in order rather than making fake claims to the Daily Mail and FA.

See they’ve turned off comments on their most recent Twitter posts the fucking joke of a a club.
Need banishing back to a Blackpool pub league.
Shame Rowe will be inside next time we go there, was looking forward to him biting my nose off.

In this day and age it's quite staggering that Fylde are happy to have a bloke with accusations like this hanging over him as manager.
Imagine taking your daughter to watch a team with a character like this as its public face. I don't think I could do it.
Until Fylde seriously change what they're all about I won't be setting foot in their ground personally.

[ Amazing that Fylde actually had the cheek to complain about abuse he was getting from behind the dug out at our match. Horrible little club ideally suited to Jimmy Saville Rowe.

Our owners took a lot of stick at the time from people who generally have very few morals. They've got a lot wrong since they took over but they way they dealt with James Rowe shows they are good people. I personally hope he rots and his victim(s) get the justice they deserve. Word is, this may be the tip of the iceberg.... As for Fylde, going bust would be too good for them.

Wonder what the Fylde fans make of this, are they supportive of him or do they want him gone?

Past midday and no statement from the club, as far as I can see. This is a club that advertises jobs by more or less saying "you're working when we say you are" so it's surprising that they don't seem able to find the time for a statement. Unless they don't consider it important?

'The Club can confirm that the Chairman of AFC Fylde – currently travelling in connection with various business-related matters – has convened (and will be attending) a Board Meeting, scheduled for later this afternoon at AFC Fylde’s Mill Farm stadium. A full statement will be issued by the Club following the Board Meeting.'

They're handling it dreadfully. For a club with such supposed ambition, they are totally unprofessional.
BBC are supposed to be showing Fylde v Congleton in the Cup on Saturday. Wonder if they will reconsider?

I get why sacking him before a trial may be problematic but in any other line of work you would be suspended pending the outcome at the very least. Like you say Lovely club.

In terms of the way that Fylde have been run in recent years, it just goes to prove that money can’t buy class. The owner really seems out of his depth and has had so many PR disasters and just doesn’t seem to learn.
Rowe just seems to be a nasty piece of work.
Will be interesting to see where Bern & Jonno turn up 👀

Fylde probably need the money less than every other club in this round. Not a particularly attractive tie either.
