So its back to the FA Cup tomorrow I don't think it will be an easy game so going for a nervy 2-1 with King Kurt and Burke with the goals in front of 1827 with around 220 from Hanley

Have faith - a nice steady 3-1 to us. Quality will prevail. We can surely beat this team given their level- as long as we have the right attitude- and we will. Coyb

We managed to get through the Pontefract Collieries tie with no problem in the end after a sluggish start, so it is important we start off well tomorrow and perform strongly for the whole 90 minutes. It is also crucial that we are not complacent either, because Hanley Town will be really pumped up for it. There is no reason why we shouldnโt feel excited about the clash either, because it is a good opportunity for us to progress closer to the 1st Round. Having been on the road twice during the past seven days, it will be good to be back at home tomorrow, so hopefully a decent crowd will turn up as Calum McIntyre and our players deserve it given we are unbeaten in six. We are building a lot of momentum now, so it is key that us supporters turn up in our numbers and get behind our lads. Our last match was on Tuesday as we drew 2-2 away against Chorley in what was a very entertaining affair. We were excellent in the first-half, particularly in the opening 25 minutes, as we were all over Chorley. Our early dominance paid dividends, as 16 minutes in Adam Thomas got on the end of a peach of a Lewis Coulton cross to make it 0-1 to us. 20 minutes later Adam Thomas almost doubled his account for us, as a dipping shot bounced off the crossbar. A fantastic opening 45, thus we had a deserved lead at half-time. Meanwhile, the second-period was a lot more even, as the home side were much more threatening. Six minutes into the half Connor Hall clipped a ball over Harry Tyrer for Chorley to make it 1-1. With 14 minutes to go, Darren Stephenson put us back in front to make it 1-2 by superbly guiding the ball into the far bottom corner. Unfortunately we let our lead slip again, as Jack Sampson glanced in late on for Chorley to make it 2-2. A gutting way to end an otherwise enjoyable game, although we are still unbeaten in six. Hanley Town play in the Pitching In Northern Premier League Division One West and will be making the journey from Staffordshire looking to cause a huge upset. Last season was one to remember for the Stoke-On-Trent-based side, as they won promotion from the Midland League Premier Division up to Step 4. Hanley will be happy with their start to this season, as they sit in 11th place which is decent for them given they are still a newly-promoted side. The Stoke-based outfit also boast a number of high profile players, with the likes of Ryan Shotton, Danny Pugh, Chris Dagnall, Danny Glover, and Louis Dodds all playing for them. I have to admit that when this draw was made last week I was really pleased with this tie, so we will have to make it count as we will not get many better chances of progressing to the 4th Qualifying Round. Hanley Town are followed by a good number of Stoke City supporters, and with Stoke not in action until Sunday then it is likely that a few of them will make the trip up, even though there are rail strikes. We must put out a strong side as we cannot afford to lose this tie. I'm unsure about this one.
They're exactly the kind of team we've struggled against in recent years. They have a number of experienced players who have played at a higher level. Those kind of teams tend to do well in the Cup.
Given all that, if play at our best and get that bit of luck you always need, we'll get through the tie ok. First goal might be really important.
1-1 Thomas.
Edit - If we get through this tie it could be Calum has broken the Cup hoodoo around the club.
Our crowd can help with this too. In the last round while the lads behind the goal were brilliant, some of the older grumbly buggers were booing them off at half time. That is just ignorance and historic superiority. I'm towards that age too. If I get like that just take me out and shoot me.

Could be a tight game, but hopefully a win, and the possibility of a top National League team at home! Decent weather so hopefully a reasonable crowd.

2-1, 1750 in and 120 from that shit hole (it really really is though)
Kurt and a Burke header.
First time in 20 years Iโm going to be in the main stand instead of the Harry Mac thanks to a hernia. At 32 itโs not what I need but Iโll still be able to throw a few shapes round red door later.
Goats next round come on.

Saw Hanley's highlights against City of Liverpool. We should be seeing these off comfortably. Their home record is very poor, which suggests that if it did go to a replay we may well still end up going through. Hope it doesnโt come to that though and we get the job done today, which Iโm confident we will.

A few noticeable names in the Hanley team. They're mostly 150 years old now by still not to be underestimated.
