Oldham fan here. A heads up that the away end (chaddy end) is a god awful stand. Your line of sight is below the pitch so the higher up seats you can get the better. Also really cold in there, falling to pieces and has posts in the way. Cheers, will be bouncing in there so a bit of cool air will chill us nicely 🤣 Calling on the blue dot counters, have we 1600 yet? 😁 Won’t matter when we SMASH the place up

Don't like going to away games when you can't get a seat on side of pitch or for that matter home games in Harry Mac. I need perspective on where the ball is going and how far players are from goal. Which is difficult to get at an end unless your used to it. Always was one of the first standing at the half way line at Sealand Road then watched hundreds of people go from one side of the ground to the other when we attacked the other goal end. Memories. So bought ticket for lower tier then noticed upper tier went on sale. Now bought ticket in Upper tier so I can get a perspective of game plus nice to be in a bigger stadium and be in the upper tier. Told my brother to do the same and he has. Exciting isn't it. Oldham fan here. A heads up that the away end (chaddy end) is a god awful stand. Your line of sight is below the pitch so the higher up seats you can get the better. Also really cold in there, falling to pieces and has posts in the way. You make it sound really enticing! Thanks for the warning, though. After some of the places we've been to in recent years it will be good to visit a proper club with a bit of history.

Agree, will be a free for all depending on time of arrival. Also I doubt anyone will even be sitting down to be honest x I get the apparent "we'll just sit anywhere we like " views. But why would that be the case? People have the choice of which seats they decide to buy, so why not sit in them? I'd be unhappy if I chose a decent seat, then got stuck in a crap one, because other people didn't bother doing that. Don't buy seats for a gig, then sit where ever you like, do you? Fair shout we'll all be standing though.

A message from the board linkLooks like they want us to stop the Ryan Reynolds songs 😂😂 I'm not inferring that from it myself. Don't think anyone is that bothered about that chant. More specifically it mentions smoke bombs and racist/homophobic chanting. The overall message to me seems like "Hey dicks, don't be dicks this weekend please." Shouldn't really need a statement but there you go.

Saw quite a few bottles being launched at the Darlo keeper when he was celebrating like he won the World Cup last Saturday, so maybe that is also something that has triggered this statement.

Frankly I don’t care what seat and row number are on my ticket, I just want to good spec preferably near the front for LIMBS… Plus there’s 8 or 9 of us heading up on the train early doors and we’ll be standing together regardless.

Some fair entitlement you've packed into your post there Nathan! I think that's the way it will go on the day though, as mates who have bought tickets away from each other will want to sit/stand together. People will need to be flexible and there'll be swapping of sections/tiers going on to suit. The nearer it is to kick off the more chaotic it will get. Can't wait - COYBs.

I wonder why they bother allocating seats. They know how many seats there are and how many tickets they've sold, so why not just let people choose their own? It might encourage some to arrive early and less hammered.

Some effort that. Love it. Think Oldham will be surprised when we rock up as early doors they were saying on their forum we'll only take a few hundred.

It might encourage some to arrive early and less hammered. It makes even less sense allocating seats when you’ve got pay at the turnstile on the day. They’re not going to be giving you a ticket with your allocated seat number once you’ve handed your £12 over!

I get that. It's a culture thing and one of the benefits of watching football at our level. However, if you buy a ticket for a FL game, you buy a ticket for that seat. Promoting ourselves as a family friendly club, might mean a shift towards that, if we were lucky enough to be filling our ground. How families watch PL games together I don't know. It must be a nightmare. Anyone with a season ticket would need to transfer seats, probably to a worse one, to sit with their child/mate/wife. A big part of the day out is to spend it with who you want to spend it with.

Need to bear in mind that Wrexham were held in the ground for half an hour after the final whistle. Granted it was because they were being naughty earlier in the day, but same could apply to us if no one behaves themselves.
