After last night which is was absolutely gutting, so hard to take as we should have won the game and finished them off, but that is football sometimes unfortunately.
It's been an absolutely crazy week with Oldham Away, mad ticket sales and queues outside the ground last night. Those two goal celebrations along with Burke on Saturday will live long in the memory for us fans.
As hard as it seems now thinking about the league, last night has showed that we have what it takes to compete...
We can be right up there come the end of the season and I think we will we be, the support last night was immense. Lets hope a few of those fans who turned up last night will take an interest going into the rest of the season.
We should hold no fear of any team in this league, no reason why we can't grab this league and be right up there in those top three positions.

It would be nice if at least 500 from last night came to the rest of the games. The atmosphere was something special, something we've not experienced for a long time. The Harry Mac has been outstanding this season. I love the flags, and the new CFC flags looked great last night. Special mention to the club, staff, and volunteers for all the work that has gone on for the replay. Credit to all the players and backroom staff too. We must have two of the best, youngest central defenders in the league who have played far above and beyond. Every player has played exceptionally well considering how good the opposition were, the bullying, feinining injury, diving etc, and the performance of the officials.

Well said.
We have gone toe to toe with a team from the league above and shown that we could compete at that level with a small improvement.
As much as I wanted to win last night, and was gutted we lost, a win could actually have had a negative effect on the team. Unfortunately, the goats, with all their hollywood dollars could have been a horror show, broadcast across the US and Disney+ for everyone to see. This could have had a massive negative effect on the players and club as a whole.
We now can look to our league campagne, moving up the league hopefully and maybe even swapping places with Oldham at the end of the season!

That fear was in the back of my mind as well, but I actually think the pressure would all have been on them. Anything less than a big win would have been seen as a failure for them, but we've shown that we're a resilient side who keep games tight. Plus they're still conceding loads of goals at home, which was their undoing last season.

Good post. I don't want to go over the top but I feel like something is starting or changing. It's been a while since there's been such a buzz about the club. Many of the people at the last two games have been people who aren't regulars and only follow the club passively. You can choose to be bitter about that or you can see it as a latent interest in the club throughout the city that can be built upon.

Not sure if it’s been mentioned before but massive credit to not only the team but Calum. His motivation of the team was special. After going a goal down inside 10 minutes and at HT in both games to come back and be so strong against a full time team in a division above cannot be overlooked. Brilliant.
Both games were a joy to listen to and hopefully that will encourage a few floating/disenchanted and new fans to give the club a chance and attend games.

Can we make the south the family stand and get those lads back in the West? Knew it was going to be a special night last night when the West Stand got up and started singing and shouting.
Atmosphere was superb, hostile, passionate, vociferous. Best atmosphere I've seen in 30 years at the Deva!
If we have that sort of noise from 3 sides of the ground every week clubs will shit themselves coming to us.
The cestrians 1885 group should hold their heads up high. Brilliant work they've been doing thd last couple of years now starting to pay dividends!

I can't get to as many games as I'd like to nowadays, but was there on Tuesday in the West Stand and what really struck me was the amount of youngsters, many of whom had Chester scarfs or Chester hats on. As you grow older it hits differently seeing these kids, remembering that it was you one day and praying that they'll catch the bug and not get bored as they grow older.
Also, I was so impressed by flag display on the terrace, the kind of thing which I haven't seen before at the club. I don't know how they get these created, but it really is something. A special mention for the flag of Harry McNally. I don't know how old the people are who are sorting these flags out, but it's so important to see them recognising our club's history and paying tribute to our past legends.
I bet Harry would have absolutely loved Tuesday night watching down, seeing his terrace jam packed and the effort the players were putting in. Having said that, knowing him I bet he never would have taken off Weeks even if he couldn't walk due to cramp. He'd have run on and dragged him up!
