Now the Conservative party are in turmoil and infighting should the country sit back and watch this infighting infinitum with all the turmoil to world economics. No we need to have a General Election. If Boris Johnson is back I think all opposition MPs stand up when he gets to the ballot box and shout Out Out Out.

Can’t believe the Tories are still polling at around 22%. To think that these people walk amongst us and some are probably allowed to operate machinery. Absolutely terrifying. Would be nice if some of the Tory clowns on here could give us a their thoughts (LOL) on who’s going to be next PM.

Criticising our government is no longer "being political", it's just having a grip on reality. It is factually correct to say they are appalling.
A Conservative government is simply inoperable. They have made this entirely by themselves and all Labour should have to do to win the next election is sit back and leave them to it.
I see Boris Johnson is third favourite to be the next PM. I really wouldn't put it past him. The man is a menace, a calculating, manipulative little shit.

What do Labour offer though? The same policies but with a slightly softer touch and slightly friendlier face.
I’m all in for Anni-fucking-byniaeth.

I agree, they promise very little to address the fundamental problems we face, but I think they can offer a basic level of competence, something lacking in Government for years.

I actually find the whole thing quite entertaining now. In reality it should be really worrying to be governed by complete fuckwits but it's turned into a comedy show and you wonder what's going to happen next. The fact people are talking about Boris seriously coming back.....that would cap it off, would be absolute lunacy. Labour may not be the perfect alternative, but they are the only viable alternative and god only knows we just need someone different to have a crack at running things.

Need Labour to win a clear majority and then they implement a FPTP voting system. The tories would be dead and buried for a generation.
Would also give rise to some of the other fringe parties in the house of commons, most notably (from the left perspective) the Greens.

I’ll make assumptions, because I can, and guess you’re one of the ‘let’s take our borders back’…. Farage, Johnson and the right Tories have ruined this country. You need educating based on your comments above. Disgusting.

Chris Matheson resigning as an MP following allegations of sexual misconduct. By-election imminent. Just read the report and looks like he’s bang to rights. With this in Chester and the weirdo Tory in Delyn, the region isn’t exactly looking great politically…. Hope we get a Green Party winner who’s manifesto included building us a new sustainable ground, making us the Forest Green of the NLN 😂😂

Aye the Greens (or Plaid in my constituency) are more in tune with my standing these days. Unless Drakey breaks Welsh Labour away from the U.K. party - in which case they’ll have me back.
At least Matheson had the balls to resign unlike that weirdo Tory sex pest in my constituency.

This will be very interesting. Chester has obviously changed dramatically in the past 20 years or so. Now it's massively student populated which has helped crippled the previous Tory control in the city. However, the Tories have still managed to gain over 20k votes here in each of the last three general elections. Chester voters are also notorious for not playing by the book, like when they kicked Mosley out for Matheson despite a national Tory majority.
Matheson garnered a huge personal vote in Chester (I know people who hated Corbyn, but voted Labour anyway at the GE purely for Matheson, because he was an excellent local MP for them). So if Labour want the seat back, they'll need to choose a candidate very carefully because if they try and parachute some outsider in not willing to get his boots on the ground like the Tories did in 2019, then they could easily lose. You'd imagine this will be the first By-election following the appointment of a new PM so the Tories will be targeting this seat big time.
In a way, it's quite exciting actually that the people of Chester will be the first in the entire country to express their political opinions in terms of a serious vote since s**t started hitting the fan. The eyes of the nation will be on us.

Understand, but people should think before they speak, find that excuse a cop out. We have a female general manager in an industry dominated by white, middle aged men. Not a good look on a fans forum linked to the club that these comments, degrading a woman’s appearance, are allowed to stand. And no, I’m far, far from a Tory and understand that is the lowest insult to anyone.

The eyes of the nation will be on us. what was his majority 6k. Won it by 93 votes in 2015 when the Tories swept the board nationally. Increased it to 9k, then saw it cut in the 2019 bloodbath. It's a blow to Chester because for all intents and purposes he was a good, popular MP for us. But obviously he had to go.

Actually do your research.
