But ''beeating off about it'' as you put it may have encouraged more people to contribute. We can't laud the positive things Chester FC are doing if no f**ker tells us about it! Bang on Krankie lad. and in other news new Wrexham gastro pub The Fat Boar ran a promotion for a week where for every pint of Wxm lager sold they'd donate a quid to our build the budget scheme. The Wxm lager brewery said they'd match it, so £2 for every pint sold. Total sold - 370 pints = £740 to the fund. #Fantastic. Everyone seems to be getting behind the scheme.

Our Squad Builder standing orders / collection boxes raise £12K - £15K every year, it's just that we don't like to beat off about it on other Clubs' message boards. This reassuring, where did you get this data. Coincidentally, as a monthly contributor to Squadbuilder, I've just had a letter from the club confirming that £50k has been contributed since it was set up, including £7.5k this season. As a thank you, the club is arranging for the contributors to meet McCarthy and the team for an update and refreshments. A good positive move by the club to reward the contributors in this way - my only complaint is the cost of sending the invitations out by post instead of e mail.

This League will only get harder with most other teams bank rolled plus Fylde coming up next season. The money Wrexham and Chester have raised for their CLubs, Fylde, Eastleigh and Forest Gump would find that cash in a lost draw in the office.

I've been paying in to Squad Builder from the outset but haven't got a letter yet. Maybe it's on the post.

Just got home from work and the same letter has arrived at mine. Well done to all that contributed, £50K is a fantastic sum and I would encourage anyone to get involved. Yes I've heard all the arguments against supporters contributing to the playing budget, but at the end of the day we are all co-owners of the Club. If fans don't want to set up a standing order, pick up a little collection box from the Office, or even put pennies in a jar. I normally average about £5 per month in slummy in my box without even noticing. If 200 fellow fans could do the same that's £1000 every month going to Macca.

Build the budget currently at £22,629 and rising. Will you have to pay 20% VAT on that?

We're planning for success whilst you lot are planning for flags and coloured cards to wave, that is if you can get anyone in the ground to actually hold them up. #Priorities

You've all been saying the same old crap every year before it goes pearshape. We're doing things to change for the better, operations are also going on behind the scenes, watch this space.

Planning for success? In the last 10 years you've lost your league status, a stand and your training pitch. We've actively produced a football club, whilst you've been helped out by the 120th best university in the country during a time of austerity.

Always bleating on about how BIG they are and always coming up short when it comes to the crunch. Just another non league Welsh club with a crap decaying ground. Yes they get big crowds, but it's worth nowt when that is the only money coming into the club. Scratching around for a few grand won't make any difference against the bankrolled clubs and those with a parachute payment.....Pipedreamers!!!
