Why would our manager think of moving on when he has just built a squad that have finished third and in the play offs way above the hopes of many fans. He has a squad that could top the league next season and move on up with the Club he obviously loves. So much talk about one match blown out of all proportion with the other matches of the season. The usual numbers at a match are around 2,000 if that with al the hype about the play off we ended up with a lot of people without the club at heart but just jumping on the band wagon intent of being trouble. Wake up and stop making the last match a reflection of the real week in week out fans !!!!!!!!!!!!

Can’t agree that things have been “blown out of all proportion” when a child was hit with a flare and a fan had his jaw broken at the same game. Your post appears to contain no condemnation of such behaviour, just a moan that people are apparently over-reacting to them.

Your post appears to contain no condemnation of such behaviour, just a moan that people are apparently over-reacting to them. Purely for accuracy the person hit by the flare was a middle aged man. The club tried to contact the family of a girl reported to be involved in the incident. She was traumatised and very upset but thankfully did not suffer physical injury. The man hit was very lucky he did not lose an eye and the flare could have hit anybody including a child. The idiots responsible need to take a long hard look in the mirror. Attacking middle aged men and traumatising teenage girls is cowardly and pathetic in the extreme.

I am sure Calum would agree that positive comments about him and the on field season are better made in other threads on here.

There’s a lot more pressure when it’s a club you support and Cal knows many of our fan base on a personal level. For what it’s worth, I think he’ll stay. Things were still raw after last week’s game and what happened after the game won’t have helped where he was at mentally. What we need to do now is get him as much funds as we can. We saw last year how well the budget was managed and if we can get him a bit more cash maybe we can go the one step further that we all want to go.

If he goes who can we get to replace him? Whatever he decides is his choice, the pressures and expectations in the job are high so can understand either way. If he does decide to leave then for the sake of the club make it early so that the board have the maximum time to line up a replacement. I, like all Chester fans, want him to stay 👍👍👍

If he goes who can we get to replace him? Me. I led Chester to promotion in the playoffs on FM23, beating Banbury 6-1 in the final. Tactical masterclass

I totally agree with the comments on here re crowd behaviour and my sympathy is with those injured by what I refereed to as not real Chester fans who came just to be seen . My apologies to anyone who has taken offence by my comments in my previous post.

With Calum featuring so prominently in the Season Ticket up-dates, the Club must believe he is staying.

I think Callum just needs a break emotionally and physically. He said in the interview he only had a few days break last summer between leaving Runcorn and joining Chester. Hopefully when he's had a rest he'll be back all guns blazing.

Cal has had a successful season that has been noted by clubs in slightly higher leagues , but if he was moving on a deal would have been done by now so I guess he's staying put

I'd imagine he would be on a two week holiday now, certainly he needs to be. Not sure about the comments in the interview, put it down to exhaustion or maybe he just needs a break

He was, as a lot of us were at the time, emotional and sorely disappointed during that interview.
Cal has another year on his contract and will be speaking to players and board to prepare his retain and release lists.
If I were on the board I would be looking to get him signed to a further year extension after the season we just had.

He is tied to a club with limited funds. If he is offered 2x salary and a generous budget I would consider such an offer very seriously.
