As per title, we are hoping to move to Chester this summer. Probably late July/August. So, in time for the new football season! I’m thinking I’ll go to some Chester games. I’ve been to the Deva stadium before following Huddersfield and remember watching Town play Chester City at Macclesfield’s stadium on New Year’s Day back in the early 90s. Boring 0-0 if I remember correctly.
Anyway it looks like it could be an interesting season for Chester. So I’ll be around seeing what develops over the summer!

Hopefully your name is Jordan Rhodes haha! Well he’s not championship level any longer. Then again, you could say that about a lot of current Huddersfield players. Still not sure how Warnock kept them up.

I remember the 0-0 Huddersfield game at Macc. Some great fancy dress shenanigans behind the goal in the home end on that freezing cold day, but a drab game.
Welcome, by the way!

Welcome. I studied in Huddersfield for a few years and they're kind of my second club. Good to get behind blue and white striped teams!

Welcome to Chester, it's a fantastic place. Even Saltney (great place), Lache and Blacon.

Welcome to Chester, it's a fantastic place. Even Saltney (great place), Lache and Blacon. We’re looking at areas near the city centre. Hoole maybe, or near the river. We’re going to rent initially and rent out our house in Holmfirth. But we’re intending to move out permanently and sell our house in Holmfirth later on.

Yes we looked around Handbridge a couple of weeks ago. Definitely an option near the river. Not that we’ll be renting one of the large houses overlooking the river with Bentleys in the driveway! 😂

Try the Garden Quarter. You'll get a little more for your money than Hoole and you're walking distance to town, the river and the ground.

It's the wider area around Garden Lane, covers the Racecourse apartments, Sealand Rd up to the Tesco junction and Parkgate Rd down to Aldi. I think it came about from the electoral boundary. So yeah, it's an area.

As a Huddersfield fan you will know Peter Jackson. Fans favourite and got to know him. If i lived anywhere apart from where i do live it would be Chester. My mother was born there and I took myself to games there when staying with my grandparents. They have a great set up now and should go up next season, so you can enjoy the ride.

I prefer the area of Hoole to Handbridge personally but I think the location is better near the river. There seem to be more properties available to rent in Hoole too. Although we’re not in a position to look at any yet as we’re not intending to move until the end of July. See what becomes available before then.

I wrote a CV for him and told him not to waste time gaining his Coaching Certificates and apply for roles at clubs where he had done well. Seemed to work. His life took a different turn after illness. His book is a good read. Realised that there is more to life than football.

There’s a property in prime position just come available by the bridge in Handbridge looking over the river! It’s really cheap too. Catch - no private parking. Doesn’t look like there’s parking in immediate vicinity either. Exciting that we’ll be ready to view houses in a couple of weeks so ones coming available now could be a potential new home! To get back on topic, I see there’s standing available at the Deva. In two areas?
