Can’t believe how tight this league is looks like it’s going to be a nervous last day for a few teams, let’s hope it’s settled for us before then and we are safely in the playoffs. I’m going to go 2-0 with Burke and Glendon getting the goals, 2273 and 49 from the Northeast.

Frustrating match down in Hereford on Tuesday night. Referee absolutely ruined the game by making everything about himself. Gave away more cards than I had for my birthday, and the Hereford FC penalty was a joke, as Elliott Whitehouse was grappled. I actually thought, though, that Hereford’s disallowed goal was the wrong decision, because I was in-line with it, and their player was level with our last man. Anyway, prior to the Farsley Celtic and Hereford games, I’d have taken four points, so credit to our lads for putting in two solid shifts.
Hoping we can build on those four points today, as it’s ever so tight in and around those play-off spots now. We’re on a great run of form at just the right time, and with key bodies coming back, we’re in a good position to consolidate in the top seven. Spennymoor Town were previously in free fall for a while, as they dropped from the play-off spots towards the relegation zone, however they’ve improved a lot as of late under new Manager Graeme Lee, so it'll be a tough one. I’m backing us to edge a close encounter.
Score - Chester FC (Tollitt) 1-0 Spennymoor Town.
Attendance - 2,271 (62 Spennymoor Town).

Absolutely typical that we played them early in the season when they were flying high, they then embarked on a dreadful run which saw them dragged into the relegation scrap, and are now finally coming back into form just in time for us to play them again. They’re a side who normally like to cause us a few issues, and if they play like they did in the reverse fixture then it won’t be an easy game, but I’ll predict a 2-1 win thanks to a Peers brace.

Abject display there didn't work the keeper enough scoring goals a problem again why bring your left back on when we need a goal didn't understand that I suppose we didn't lose though

Thought we played well and dominated possession for the majority of the match, should have killed them off in the first half though. Some very good short passing play too.
However some of the berks we have following us are unreal, why do they bother turning up? Moaning about everything, shoot from the edge of the box, the player can't there's a defender in the way.
Put the ball in the box, instead of playing it short, they do that, the balls too long or swallowed by the keeper.
Telling players we have to stretch them, we didn't even have possession of the ball.
They seem to think McIntyre has lost the plot, go on you old fuck, who would you put in charge?
They're stuck in the 1970's with their footballing views. The worlds moved on, short passing play is the way ahead instead of dumping it needlessly into the box
Never heard such negativity in my life. I can see why Cal said recently the proper fans do away games
Moaning about bringing Taylor on.
On the plus side a good crowd with 2,300 and Adam Thomas making a return too

Poor performance today I thought, lack of intensity with mistakes from both sides leading to the goals.First time this season I've questioned us tactically. Thought we were more scared to lose the game rather than being brave enough to try and win it and that's disappointing.

Spenymoor were well organised but another side that we have struggled to break down. The lack of intensity is there for all to see, we just can’t maintain any momentum in games. It has been like this all season typified by lack of scoring chances created and goals scored. It’s not going to change between now and season end so we have to hope for 1-0 wins and see where we finish.

I hope no one ever says I’m not a proper fan. Part of the problem Cal has is he lacks management experience, not so much with players but dealing with fans comments, too often he reacts to them whereas he should just ignore them and move on. By reacting it encourages others to chip in. As he moves up the football pyramid he will have to learn to ignore comments

That was not a good watch to many lackluster performances not surprising though with a few players playing out of position lacked a real goal threat again today

However one particular player can have a shocker Weeks after week and yet never gets dropped or subbed. It’s becoming a joke. Taylor centre mid, what was that all about? That was a mess second half with just shot on goal.

Poor today and no one made an impact as such. Tactics we're negative and set pieces woeful as per. Games like that we should be throwing on players to get a goal not bring a left back on who isn't arsed and put in the wrong position. And as time goes on I feel Burke is wasted at right back

We pass sideways, again and again. And lose 1 0 or draw 1 1. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing again and again and expecting a different result.

Been like this a few games this season, because that was a bloody awful watch.
Couldn’t even see our formation clearly or style of play. Think Cal lost himself at some point today.
Positive is that we’ve not lost too much ground around us and we’ll put it down to some tired bodies.
