On the ferry now, as are Jonno and the Radcliffe team. Were they availing themselves of the onboard bar?

Ferry is fine, you can wonder around on it, there's a cafe, shop, bar, tv's & WiFi (although it's crap). Time can go quite quick. Mind you it was very busy today so can only think tomorrow will be full or close to it.
Weather has been poor today, cool and wet so not shorts weather Rio. 😉

Just a few bits of info if it helps?
If you're flying Ronaldsway airport is approx 9 miles from Douglas. Taxi fares can be steep £30 per cab, whereas buses are a couple of quid. Taxis will drop you off at your hotel door, buses you might have to walk a bit.
Ferry - from Heysham - will be the 'big boat' - loads of room + bar. Takes approx 3 3/4 hours. Doesn't look likes its very windy tomorrow so should be smooth.
From Liverpool - will be the 'small boat' - there's allocated seating in an upstairs area, the rest is just a free for all. Smallish bar. Takes approx 3 hours. Should be smooth crossing also.
The ferry terminal is pretty central in Douglas, hotels within 10/15 min walk (or taxi). Premier Inn is 5 min walk away & very central.
No alcohol in the ground - it's Government owned and FC are still trying to get a licence I believe. If you take it in (and smoke flares not trousers) you'll get them taken off you.
The nearest pub to the ground is called the Pinewood. 5 min walk away. Capacity is 100, so you're best splitting up 1/2 stay in town ... there's loads of pubs & 1/2 to the Pinewood.
'Town' is a good 15 / 20 minute walk to the Bowl, so again it'll be taxis, or buses. Bus numbers 1,2,12,5,6,21 all go towards the ground, just ask the driver for the Bowl.

Another thought ... food. There's loads of places in town obviously.
There should be food vendors inside the ground. On the main road outside the ground (bus route) is a McDonalds, KFC and Costa. There's a couple of Spar (?I think) garages as well that will do sarnies etc.
Between the Bowl and the Pinewood and the Bowl is a Chinese Takeaway. And if you fancy a sit down meal ... the NSC Sports Centre has the Aqua Cafe open until 6pm and you can get usual stuff from there as well.
All I'd say, is if there's loads of you (I know there is ... ) spread out. If you all just head to the Bowl it'll be busy ...

I'm not going. Went to book Easyjet from Bristol, ticked to sit together with the missus, then realised they charged extra for that, tried going back to book without choosing seats, and couldn't undo it. So by trying to screw us for extras, they lost out on a booking for two people. You had 0 intention of going did you. I booked a hotel, so yes I did.

As far as paying for seat reservation, they all seem to do it. TUI, who I have just booked with for a holiday , now do, but don't charge for anything else. Just find the least bad and avoid Ryanair.

Currently on a TUI holiday in Corfu. You only get a meal included if the flight is over 7 hours. Less than that you have to pay. TUI is also a cashless airline.

Loads on the ferry. People in the pubs saying it's segregated so we might get an exact figure.

We’re winning 1-3 at half-time, with goals by Iwan Murray, Declan Weeks, and Tom Peers. Around 250+ Seals here, although a few didn’t make kick-off as the later flight from Liverpool was delayed by over an hour.

Great that Tom Peers got a couple. We want him to hit the ground running this season.

Does anyone have a spare ticket for the meet up tomorrow night for my son? Obviously happy to pay for it.
I was going to just try blagging him in but might be better with an actual ticket.

After being tested defensively in the other two friendlies, was nice to see us attacking. Thought we looked ok - but rusty - we made a lot of chances but still feels we lack the decisive finish - anyway it’s early days, hopefully this will improve. Good to see Peers banging in a couple. He’ll need to step up to the plate this season if we are to do well and he always leaves me a bit 50/50 so hopefully this season will be when he pushes on.
I thought their no.11 looked a pretty class act Gave our defence quite a few problems and tucked his goal away v nicely.
