That the manager has shot his bolt, lost the players and his refusal to change tactically will cost him his job I'm assuming he means sooner rather than later? Putting aside that your post is all past tense, there is zero evidence that Cal’s lost the dressing room, in fact all the evidence is to the contrary. Since the loss to Curzon we’ve had four players & Jim come out in support of him. Every manager leaves eventually so yeah I’ll give you that’s inevitable but if we go on a good run of form & shoot back up the table, which is not at all unlikely considering how open the table is, then I’d argue he’s more likely to walk than be pushed. Spot on. This table is so condensed that it doesn't take much to go either way. Form is often down to confidence and it often only takes one or two things to go right to swing back. I can't believe that there haven't been serious conversations in that dressing room after last week, but, as you say, I reckon Calum is too proud to take many of those days (all of it).

Well to be fair they are unlikely to come out and lambast him on camera either. It is also as you say a very open league this year, with the playoff places likely to involve plenty of sides hoping to make them. I don't see a good run coming, 2024 is proof of that unfortunately with Callum in charge. Nothing will change, the boards loyalty to Callum and his contract until 2026 are the issues we have to face now as a club. Of course not but if he’d lost the dressing room they wouldn’t be coming out making statements of support would they? They’d just keep quiet. Maybe we will, maybe we won’t but one thing you can say is we’ve been inconsistent & so I’m not sure why you’re so confident we’ll be poor going forward. After all we’ve not lost many games & actually had our best start in years. I genuinely don’t understand why people are so keen for change, it’s rarely the silver bullet & I don’t think there are many more capable managers that we could afford & that would want the job.

Yeah, "lost the players" and "lost the dressing room" shouldn't be confused with simply struggling to get the team to play well. If anything I think the problem is the opposite - a little too much loyalty and support towards the same underperforming players.
I'd argue it's gone beyond poor form though. We've been poor to average since the turn of the year and the last couple of games have been dreadful. It can't go on much longer.

Hoping for a vastly improved performance today but just think Hereford will have too much for us, their record at the Deva isn’t too bad over recent years and they’ll be backed by a half decent following for a change. Darlo and Needham Market are the two games we just simply need to win. 2-0 Hereford. 2437 att.

I guess we will just agree to disagree then. There would be plenty of applicants for the job, always will be as we are still a name in football with a decent loyal fan base.

Let’s hope the game isn’t over in 2 minutes. Does anyone the last know time we won from behind?

Let’s hope the game isn’t over in 2 minutes. Does anyone the last know time we won from behind? About 2 weeks ago against Rushall, with exactly the same squad and manager. Talk about negativity.

No Weeks or Glendon in the squad and starts for Daly and Hancox. I'll give Callum some credit there, obviously changes in personnel, let's see if there's a change in tactics and style of play at 3pm.

Well he’d have fresher legs than anybody who’d play 70-odd minutes wouldn’t he, and at least it’d be a different option to the usual. He’s full of confidence at the moment as well. Let’s just see how the game goes anyway. By that logic anyone who comes on after 70 mins will have fresh legs. Seems a weird thing to say. Obviously - isn’t rocket science. Glad he’s starting actually.

When was the last time we didn't have either Weeks or Glendon in the squad, for a league game? Must be a rare occasion. A good chance for others to stake a claim in the starting line up, we probably have been over reliant on those 2 for a while.

Certainly brave from Calum. Can't be accused of stubbornness or refusing to accept he's previously got it wrong.
It's got a bit of a feeling of a last throw of the dice but why not? Hope it works.

Been a bit optimistic with some of my recent predictions, so I worry I’ll just start to come across as delusional if I continue predicting us to win in our current form - but something’s got to give. 1-1, Burke.

Interesting selection, the changes we have been crying out for. But I would feel better with Weeks at least on the bench
