We get a change of manger, here is my promise I will reinstate and actually double my contribution once we have a new manager, Ive backed Cal over the last two and half seasons, realistically he should have gone at the end of last season, but given his pre record and attachment to the club, I gave him extra time so to speak as I thought he deserved it, however he hasn’t leaned by his mistakes. Probably get slated for it but dont give a shite. Too many games not scored, crowds dropping off and nothing ever changes. Football is shite, on paper this team looked capable of challenging within the top two currently we would struggle to beat the bottom two.

Whilst I understand how you feel I Don’t think that’s the right thing to do. You’ve committed that money to the club. What I will say is if things dont drastically change I will be cancelling mine in the summer!

Agree with btb here.
The club will have budgeted for the season, and offered contracts, based on the BTB promises. If everyone cancelled their BTB we'd be in a real mess.
Don't disagree with Johnny's sentiment though.

Contracts need to be offered in July for the forthcoming season. If you've been pledged £100k through the season you'd use that when budgeting for contracts. Don't think fans would be too happy contributing their hard earned if the club weren't going to use it for that season.

DDs can be cancelled at any time. Imagine if a significant percentage of our fanbase all worked at the same major employer and that employer went under, leading to hundreds of layoffs, hundreds of people needing to make household cutbacks. The “oooh we've raised over 100k” isn't quite as great when you realise it's 100k paid in installments that can be cancelled at payees whim. Risky business.

The club will probably have a safety net in place to cover any losses but ultimately it’s what we’ve committed to them and will have been used to determine the final budget. The budget and recruitment aren’t the problem this season. It’s over to the manager now, he has to get more from this squad than what he is currently getting or it’s time to start thinking of other options. Maybe not this season but certainly at the end of it if the play offs haven’t been achieved.

A certain % being cancelled would be factored in Same for budgeting for any income - attendances aren't guaranteed, shirt sales are not guaranteed. It's a forecast.

True, if you budget for guaranteed income, you'd only budget for the season tickets already sold on the basis that it's possible that nobody else would turn up to watch. In reality, that's never going to be the case barring a war, in which case we're all fucked and football would be cancelled anyway.

If you're a member of the CFU, you can vote for who you want, or even stand yourself if you want to put in goodness knows how many hours. I for one think they're doing a good job.

Hi Luke Explain to me how we’re going to tap into more fans when we’ve only averaged over 3,000 twice since 1989. Please enlighten us all. same way most clubs do it. Show ambition and play attractive football In 2012/13 we won the NLN by 16 points and lost 3 games all season. We averaged about 2500 at home, there is a ceiling regarding attendances and it's a lot less than 3000 unfortunately.

It would take massive investment and a new ground to improve crowds above 3000. Unless a multi millionaire walks through the door with an open cheque book then we knuckle down, stick together and enjoy what we have. The constant harking back to the league years is misleading to many newer fans (post reformation). Yes we had some great years (as we have had in the non League) but there were many years of struggle, low crowds, instability, last ever games, crazy owners, home games in Macclesfield etc. People seem to get bored quicker and easier than ever before and agitated for change for the sake of it these days. Cal knows the club inside and out and has said repeatedly we only progress as a club if we stick together. I feel he knows he is approaching 'borrowed time' with our fan base. He knows how toxic it can get. I have stood many times watching a game and been amazed at the bitterness and frustration some people vent at our own team given the slightest downturn in form/results. I suspect it is not just the football team that is frustrating them. However, our performances this calendar year have been particularly unentertaining and turgid at times. You can't fault the players effort and committment in most games though. I feel that if we get what many agitated fans wish for it may not end well.

I’m sure the BTB spending was explained at some point, basically they budget to only receive 60-70% of it (IIRC) as some people will always cancel.
As for the other stuff we’ve been through it so many times, people moan about budgets, crowds, ambitions but have zero practical suggestions, criticise the board who are all volunteers and give up their time to run the club we love. So far, we’ve got money in the bank, we’ve generally been at the right end of the table & haven’t looked like going into liquidation. We’d all love Elon Musk to chuck us a spare £100m but until then let’s just support the team, staff & volunteers we have.
