Southport appoint Liam Watson as manager with Jon McCarthy remaining as assistant manager Liam Watson always seems to be lurking in the shadows, and has been for years. First appointed as Southport manager in 2003.

Michael Rose released by Morecambe. Now 35 years old.
Bit dodgy for us but had a great left foot.

Steve Burr has got another manager role now at Stafford Rangers Anyone know the odds for Stafford to be relegated? License to make money at the bookmakers’ expense.

Quick snippet from the Sunday papers.
Graham Alexander, ex-boss of Fleetwood and Scunthorpe, set to be manager of Salford City. Indication of their ambition or simply money talking?

One player we missed on our way up was Kristian Dennis. He's Just scored 19 goals this season for relegated Chesterfield. He was scoring goals for fun Woodley, Mossley and Curzon during our Glue times. I never seem to recall him but he's still scoring in the Football League in a very poor team. Could imgaine Chesterfield will be OK if they can keep hold of him. Dennis is a good player and the only shining light from our demise this season. His goal tally while mostly playing up top on his own (He would be much better in a 2) for the worst team in the league has been very good. A natural finisher. He has a year left on his contract but there is no way we will keep him in the NL. A deal for him to move to Bradford was all done in January until we pulled out at the last minute due to the kid we were signing to replace him going to Coventry instead. Dennis wasn't happy. A league team will be in with a nominal fee and we will get him off the wage bill due to our financial position.

Where's that problem arisen from? Is it poor financial prudence like us?

Where's that problem arisen from? Is it poor financial prudence like us? Gross mismanagement for a number of years. When we got to Wembley and won the JPT it actually cost us thousands of pounds due to the bonus structure. The stadium build ended up costing a lot more than planned. Vast sums of money (We have made well over £4 million in transfer fees over the last 5 years) have just been squandered (We are paying Chris O'Grady around £4k a week, he's scored 2 goals). I could go on all day but I'm not sure this is the correct forum for our woes. What we do know is absent owner, Dave Allen, is currently injecting around £100-150k a month just to keep the club afloat. This all tops up the debt owed to him which is circa £10 million. And we are set to appoint Martin Allen today or tomorrow.

Is Dunn worth a punt? A decent keeper has to be a priority.

Released by Wrexham. Chris Dunn Olly Marx David Raven Marcus Kelly Jack Mackreth Scott Boden Jonathan Franks Surprised you’ve released Kelly. Always looked a competent player. Surprised you’ve not released that fraudulent footballer Wedgbury. Just goes around trying to injure players from what I’ve seen.

Jack Mackreth wouldn't be bad in the north

Chris O'Grady released by Chesterfield. He's had better days, he doesn't score many goals. But I would imagine in the Conf North he could do a job and he's only 32. I doubt he was on much as another financial struggler in Chesterfield. Not entirely convinced but could be worth a trial to see what he's got left in the legs, was once a good player.
Edit - Can't see us affording it actually. He was rumoured to be a high earner for them.

Sounds like that donkey Wedgbury has screwed Wrexham out of a transfer fee with his actions. He’ll sign for Macc or Chesterfield without doubt.

Franks had already been told he wasn’t staying hence him sorting a move back to Iceland.
But hey the truth is rarely interesting.
