Evening all...
I did promise a few weeks ago that once the season had got underway, I'd provide an update with regards to season ticket numbers, and I believe what I'm about to type is a real positive.
Firstly though, please let me convey my thanks on behalf of the board to everyone involved in the administration side of processing all season ticket renewals and new purchases of course. Several people were involved in the process and all of whom donated many, many hours to help us achieve our goals of ST numbers sold. Included in that are also the Fan Engagement Working Group (FEWG) and Community Trust, who put a lot of time and discussion into 'getting it right' this summer.
Anyway, back to the update - a target amount (£) was set by the board for season ticket sales, and also we (FEWG) set ourselves a big target of 1000 sales, which given the events of last season was always going to be a difficult task.
2018/19 sales
A total of 1048 season tickets sold
This figure also includes 20 sponsors ST's and 27 carers ST's.
There were more 'paid for' ST's than last year (paid for meaning everything bar sponsors, carers & under 5's)
Adults - 429 ST's sold
Concessions - 321
18-21yos - 29
5-17yos - 161
Under 5s - 14
Family Zone - 15
Legends Lounge - 32
70 kids took up the shirt offer too, which was linked into the ST deals for the younger age groups.
As mentioned, we had a budget set by the board and we have surpassed that by £4k worth of sales which is extremely pleasing.
So, 1001 season tickets (without sponsors & carers) was more than last season's total of 936 sold (and 122 of those were free to 5-12 year olds as well), so really pleasing to see us moving forward so well on this side of things.
The introduction of the Family Zone will hopefully increase with time given this was the first season for it, launched of course by the Community Trust.
The FEWG group will soon be discussing in more detail and hopefully recommending a 'Cestrian 10' style season ticket to follow soon. Naturally we'll be looking at a much earlier release than the one that was released in the 2017/18 season, that only allowed a choice of 10 games from 11!
I know things are frustrating at present given the turnaround in hope throughout the summer, but please bear in mind after Saturday's game against Guiseley, whatever the outcome we'll have played only 1 home game from our opening 5 games, so we need you all to consider helping the club as much as possible following our recent misfortunes in terms of the water damage resulting in postponements, by coming to as many home games as possible, and subsequently helping us with our loss of revenue from those called off games. We did a rally call in January of a different kind, I guess this too is a rally call for your support.
We have planned a number of themes to our home matches this season, working together with the Community Trust, and we'll mention those in more detail as we go through the season.
I do hope though, that the above figures give some insight into how the ST sales went, and hope that we can build on that for next year!
Thanks to everyone who purchased a Season Ticket too, and helping to make the difference.
Jeff
