Chester FC’s home match against Stockport County has been postponed today due to Stockport progressing in the FA Trophy. This match was scheduled for Saturday 23rd March at 15:00. Unfortunately the FA Trophy Semi-Final 2nd Leg clashes with that date which means that we will have to settle for a Tuesday night game where the attendance is likely to be considerably lower.

Never known such bad luck that we’ve had this season, so frustrating.

They’ll still bring a thousand if they’re pushing for the title, not that much of a disaster.

I’ve got a wedding on that day so this suits me. It is a shame though, they’re the kind of games you want on a Saturday really.

Although it may know a few hundred off the away fans, should make for a great atmosphere under the lights.

Let's brace ourselves for the dreaded all-ticket! Must be a cert? It was always all ticket and will be at the request of the police / SAG I presume!

Police should give pay on the gate on the night ago, they may bring 2500 tops, with our 1200 that makes 3700, still 1300 below capacity,

With us not in action due to Stockport County being in the FA Trophy, is anyone off to a game tomorrow afternoon? I will be taking in Rochdale V Scunthorpe United in Sky Bet League One.

How about Nantwich Town v. Grantham on Saturday as Nantwich continue the push for the play-offs and potential promotion to the National League North. Good team to watch generally and have already beaten Crewe, Chester and Stockport County in the
Cheshire Cup this year.
or
On Sunday, FA Vase Semi-final first leg, Northwich Victoria v. Chertsey Town (at Witton Albion).
Victors to play at Wembley.

It’s all the more annoying that we end up without a fixture on a weekend with no Premier League or Championship fixtures. Maybe it would be sensible if they ensured there was always a full set of non-league fixtures on international weekend and played the Trophy games a different week. Really though, I think the time has come to make the Trophy a midweek competition.

It finished Rochdale 3-1 Scunthorpe United which took another twist in the frantic League One relegation battle. Scunthorpe were all over the hosts in the first half and should have took their chances. However, Rochdale shown a lot more desire and aggression in the second period to secure a deserved win.

Last minute decision to go Stockport v Fylde in the trophy. Atmosphere was superb, Tom came on just before half time for Fylde and did well I thought. Stockport 1-0 half time, 1-2 by the 85th minute, 88th 2-2, minute later Fylde go back infront. Great watch... hundreds of kids in the Cheadle End waving their scarfs about.. something for us aspire to

Crawley 0-3 Lincoln, typical conference type of game, Lincoln are no great shakes but crawley were awful, fully deserved the win without getting out of 2nd gear, bog standard ground pretty much like ours, 1055 imps there, decent town centre with plenty of pubs, another ground ticked off.

Happened right in front of me. The lad had to be protected on the way out as some Stockport fans tried giving him a taste of his own medicine.

My match vlog from yesterday’s game between Rochdale and Scunthorpe United: Proper old school ground is Spotland. The name of the scorer of Rochdale's second looked like a jumble of random letters. Finally the chap just in front of you Rio had some really nasty dandruff.
