Awful manager, was never going to do a job for us. Another one team wonder manager. Done absolutely nothing since. Tactics were terrible, poor motivator. Had a the players to begin with and didnt turn it around. Not doing anything now but dragging another club down. Terrible how he was sacked, I agree with that, but don't tell me he was out answer, as he clearly wasn't, did the talk, didnt do the walk. don't forget he was a bully as well

Struggle to be too critical of Bignot myself. In different circumstances he could have been a good fit for us, but he was probably the wrong choice for a relegation battle turned existential crisis. To his credit, he took a punt on Jordan Archer, who did pretty well for us and ended up making us money, and it was him who gave the likes of Crawford and Jones a go, as well as Gary Roberts and Shaun Hobson, and Myles Anderson wasn’t bad for us either. His recruitment, even with no money to spend, was a darn sight better than McCarthy’s. He did fail to even make us well-organised and difficult to beat though, although in his defence he was working with some of the most disagreeable players we’ve ever had. Guiseley were even worse than us last season, so I’m not surprised he isn’t working wonders there. archer did he do well for us 6 goals in 28 games hardly prolific Jones can't get in Salford team Crawford can't get into worst notts county ever but they did do well in there defence Roberts is OK too hit and miss for me Anderson and Hobson did well granted

Liam Davies & Lucas Dawson were two of the worst players I’ve ever seen at the Deva. Dawson’s attitude was atrocious as well, hate is a strong word but I can’t bloody stand him. Didn't someone say on here that he (Dawson) would play League One football this season? We are still waiting. Have the club approached Ryan Higgins to make him guest of honour for the day? Maybe next season when the club plays Southport?

End of the day, Bignot came to club on the promise he'd keep us up at no increase to cost - a promise which other prospective candidates probably had the sense not to make. I can live with us going down, because that's football. But he spent more than he saved and still managed to get us relegated. Failure, liar, fraud. State of these replies... Bignot came to Chester and inherited the worst Chester team in history, A team who couldn't give a toss regardless of who was the manager He also lost an awful lot of key players and had no money to spend at all.
90% players he brought in were non contracts or playing for expenses or being paid for by the parent loan club he also was being messed around by a board who had zero clue as to how to run a football club
And also to say he spent more then he saved is utter nonsense given the money we made from Crawford, Jones, Archer...

It's like crediting McCartney for getting us the Sam Hughes money when he was loathe to play him at all, never mind at centre back.

He was unlucky with injuries as well. Jordan Gough wasn’t a bad signing either - he’d have been useful this season I think. Not saying Bignot worked wonders by any stretch, but I do think you have to be reasonable and consider the circumstances. He was certainly a better judge of a player than McCarthy. Once Sharps left, McCarthy didn’t sign a single player who played well for us, and that’s no exaggeration.

Blinkered he goes and we sign 2 underperforming managers, swings and roundabouts I wouldn't call them underperforming, they put a squad together on a tight schedule and with a relatively low budget, the club was in a mess before they arrived, they have created some unity which has been lacking for many season. They were given a target and they are meeting that at the moment. Cast your mind back to towards the end of last season. Are we in a different place, yes. Are some people's expectations to high, yes they are. We are just about recovering from a massive financial near, total meltdown.

As you ask, we finished in 23rd. place in Non-league football, and currently sit in 34th and out of the play-off places. The club was in a worse state at the end of season 2009/2010 by the way.

Ha....ha....which part of my comments are the pathetic, makes logical sense to me.
So just out of curiosity who would YOU be looking to replace these under achieving managers.
Your response is feeble.
