www.halesowennews.co.uk/news/regional/17895229.cash-issues-mean-kidderminster-harriers-coaches-paid-halves/This has been bubbling under the surface for months - Current (soon to be previous) owner Colin Gordon from an interview December 2018 "The National League themselves released the average budgets for the National League, North and South divisions, and while on one hand we may not be absolutely top of the North division in terms of expenditure, the truth is that we would be very, very well established in the National League – the league above us – for what we spend." So why not simply slash the playing budget? "The stark reality is that if we did, by definition, live within our means, then we would be playing in the Southern League against a Redditch United and a Stourbridge."Club director David Seddon September 2019 " There are lots of things that need to be addressed - the club living beyond its means and paying too much for players for example. Everyone bears the responsibility for that within the club."

More like the stark reality is that if they don't sort themselves out, they will be looking up the likes of Redditch as they start again in the Midland League under a new name.
I know there are bankrolled clubs to compete with, but they're a big, well-supported club by Conf North standards.
