I'd say this is one of the biggest games of the season so far, win and we'll push on into the double home game next week in a positive position, lose and it feels like were going back to the drawing board with the away form.
Darlington 0 - Chester - 2
Lets have a happy Saturday evening for once when we win away from home !!

Agree with this ^ and it would also mean we get out of negative goal difference territory, which would be nice.

Driving up instead of train so hoping it’s worth it, although shame they don’t have an actual football ground. And we think we have it hard.
2-1 win. Stephenson and Apter.
Reckon we’ll take 250.

Good to be playing against a club from the past when we were in Div 4. A club like ours with past semi glory days. I would be happy with 1-1.

Feeling very positive about our prospects for today, because we are coming into this clash on the back of demolishing Southport 5-0 which I am sure will bolster our confidence levels. On the flip side, Darlington have lost their last four encounters without scoring a solitary goal, which has heaped huge pressure on manager Alun Armstrong. It is important we stick to the same system as last Saturday as it worked an absolute treat, because the likes of Harrison Burke, Wyll Stanway, and Rowan Roache were all excellent considering they have only played for us a couple of times in the league. The North East hasn’t been a happy hunting ground for us for a good while, so this will be a big test for Steve Watson to see whether he can change our fortunes up there. Our last match was on Saturday as we won 5-0 at home against Southport in what was our best performance of the season. The first half was very dominant from us, as we controlled the game right from the beginning. Near the half hour stage Harrison Burke launched us ahead, as an unstoppable half volley flew into the top corner to make it 1-0 to us. That proved to be the difference at half time, as a comfortable showing saw us deservedly in front at the break. Meanwhile, we were on fire in the second period as every chance we created turned into star dust. Six minutes in Marcus Dackers opened his account to make it 2-0 to us, as he slammed in a header in front of the Harry Mac. Only four minutes later Darren Stephenson made it 3-0 to us by converting from close range. The floodgates were still open as Declan Weeks whipped one into the top corner to make it 4-0 to us with 20 minutes still left on the clock. Rob Apter wrapped it up to make it 5-0 to us by sliding the ball underneath Cam Mason’s legs to finish off a great move. A five star performance from us as we recorded our biggest win of the season to move up a place. Darlington are having a very disappointing season by their standards, as they sit just one place below us in the lower reaches of mid table. It has been a pretty dismal campaign throughout for Darlo, as they lost their opening three league matches before getting knocked out of the FA Cup at the very first opportunity by…the mighty Chester FC!!! Even after that The Quakers have failed to put a serious run of form together, because just like ourselves they have been very inconsistent throughout the season. Manager Alun Armstrong is under serious pressure at the moment, because despite battering Farsley Celtic 0-6 last month, Darlington have lost four in a row so should we win today, then we could may well put the final nail in Armstrong’s coffin. We have locked horns with Darlington three times this season, and on all three occasions we have failed to taste defeat so let’s hope we will maintain our unbeaten streak later on today. I have already been to Blackwell Meadows twice so I am looking forward to my third journey this afternoon, even though it has nothing on Darlo’s previous two homes at Feethams and the Darlington Arena. We have a favourable run of fixtures coming up against sides who are near us in the table, so now is an opportunity for us to string some results together so we can finish as high as we can in the table. Not sure what to expect here, any result wouldn't surprise me after last Saturday's performance.

Jeez I’m confident of an away win. Darlo on a bad run of form apparently and we were looking like Real Madrid on Saturday. 2 - 0 Chester. The Rocket and Apter with the goals.

Is Glendon injured? If not you have to think his days are numbered if he can't get on the bench again.

Great result last week, but so long as we give 100% I’ll be happy…after a great win last week too we normally shoot our selves in the foot…and we are still experimenting…so I’m going 1-1…

Sounds like we're finally competing in an away game. Chance to go in front but it's 1-1 at HT. Fingers crossed we're stopping silly mistakes
